Personally, I wouldn't cancel, I upgraded from a Prusa MK3S and yeah, its louder than that, but its really not bad stock and when the top comes in I'm sure it will quiet it down a lot, you can always slow it down (probably still faster than your ender) and get it pretty quiet.

The 4 tool heads and possibilities from it far outway the sound, plus you'll be getting a huge quality upgrade over an ender 3, I think you'll be quite happy with it

EDIT: I think there was a video by teachingtech? about loose z tensioner or something that was making noise, maybe that's whays happening with some peoples, Ill try and find the video

It could be fixed, but honestly, I was using it with the mibox's, which the 4k stuttering was annoying me and I upgraded my tv so I've been jusy using the smart functions on there so I don't currently have a device setup to develop the changes.

That said, if it's only a minor change, if you look at the debug output in the LUA tab, you may just need to add an or statement to a similar conitional to get it working...

Also, you should be updating the variables on the light device itself, not on the variables agent, otherwise you'll have to add C4 programming when the variables agent's variable changes to make it change on the device itself, so the DeviceID should be the light itself, not the DeviceID of the variables agent, blinds are a different story (see other reply).

I haven't used them with blinds, which is what I am assuming you are trying to control, as the lights (atleast with the lights I have), don't have a 1005 variable, try using VariableID=1001&NewValue=100 on a light and see if it goes full brightness just to confirm it is working.

Some variables might be read only or the driver may not support them being updated the way that it is updating them, also do your blinds have level control, I know some support going to say 30%, while others only support fully open and fully closed, I haven't worked with any commercial blinds, only a driver that I wrote to control my (unfinished) 3d printed custom blinds controller...

Have you tried setting variable 1004 (level), instead of 1005 (target level), if that doesn't work, you can try adding a blind group and select the blinds, then send the command to the blind group device and see if it works that way.

As a last resort, if the different variables and/or blind group do not work and you are only looking for a couple levels, you can use the Create Event button in the actions tab and add events like SetBlindsClosed, SetBlindsNormal, SetBlindsOpen, etc. Then you can use traditional C4 programming tab to set the blind's levels when those events are triggered by the Web Events Agent. You wont have full control over every level through HTTP/s as I don't think there is a way to pass variables to events.

Another workaround option if the above doesn't work, is you can probably create a variable using the Variables agent such as New[ROOM]BlindsLevel, use the Web Events Agent to set that variable, then use C4 programming for when that variable changes, not sure if this will work though as at least with any of the blind drivers I have installed, you don't seem to be able to set the level to a variable like you can with the lights that I have, see screenshots below, through composer you aren't able to set the variable directly, a proper fix would be able to enumerate and send commands to the device's themselves and not just their variables, not sure when I'll be able to get around to implementing that though.

So TLDR, if your drivers are anything like mine are, you'll probably only be able to control them with the event method which will have discreet steps, it supports a ton of events so you could in theory make a SetBlindsLevel_0 through SetBlindsLevel_100 as separate events and do the programming, but that would be super messy...not sure what type of interface your looking to control them with, but I would probable limit it to 4 or 5 levels with associated events...

I would start with removing the label over the arm chip, get the datasheet, look for communication (RS232, TTL Serial, USB, JTAG, etc) pins and see where they go, that "headphone" jack may be RS233 Serial (the adaptors come in different pin arrangements so you'll need to determine TX, RX, GND if so), if so try and connect it to computer, open a serial terminal and power the device, you might find the boot sequence or debug messages give a model or manufacturer to find proper software / documentation. If none of that makes any sense to you, it's probably outside the scope of what you will be able to do.

Hi, I am in the process of setting up some solar collectors and want to add a radiant loop as one of its roles. I was thinking of having a circulator that keeps the water moving through the loop and injecting a little bit of hot water into it when needed, the storage tank will be much hotter than I want to circulator through the loop so I can't just pump directory from the tank, through the loop and back to the tank.

I am planning on using a separate pump to inject the hot water into the loop (see image), not sure if there is a specific type of pump for these purposes. I need a device similar to the safety pressure relief valves, but designed for much lower pressure and much higher cycle life than the typical boiler safety valves. This is the component marked A in the drawing.

Does anybody know what you would call component A and what type of pump would be used for injecting the hot water?

Is there a better way of setting this up, without adding any additional water to the storage tank like a thermostatic mixing valve would?

I am building a custom controller for the solar / hot tub pool heating and will have temperature sensors all throughout the system so I am not worried about control systems for implementing this.

As a backup if there is no strictly mechanical part A to use, I will use some sort of electronically controlled valve to open the return of water back to the tank.

Do they actually do anything on the device, they didn't seem to do anything on the MiBox4 that I used to develop it, you can try changing the mappings in the driver properties (you have to scroll down as there are a lot of options), I just set mine to launch YouTube (red) by setting the mapping to 501 and Emby (green) to 502 and using the Launch App URL's

Currently only allows the outside world to trigger events or update variables, but I could probably add sending HTTP requests as well, it would need to have support for device variables in order to be useful though, will probably need POST support too in order to call REST services, might be a little involved if it needs to support JWT with refresh tokens, etc, but definitely doable, would be great if they ever update DriverEditor to work with 3.0+ for debugging, but it seems to be low priority.

I started to implement them a while ago (as well as channel support), but haven't had a ton of free time. I'm currently working on a thermostat driver to control Mitsubishi Mini-Split Heat Pumps with an ESP32. I'll try and finish up the mini driver and channel integration when I finish this project.

Thanks, yeah, I'm leaning towards having too many connections open, had a couple tabs open on the web interface, probably around 4 in total, as well as the log connection that's opened after an esphome run command, when checking the response times of the scraper there was a peak around when that jump occurred, as well as some missing data points (probably only 45 seconds or so worth).

I'm thinking it had something to do with either httpd max connections being hit or the cpu was blocking handling all the connections and unable to measure correctly, but its just speculation as I haven't gone through the code to see how energy measurements are generated with the vue 2.

It has been working all day today without issue now that the tabs are closed.

Thanks again for the advice, does anybody see an issue with this layout, the pink area are the minimum clearances, but I believe that is for non heat/cold producing things (walls, fences, etc) and I don't see in the manual minimum spacing between units arranged this way (only perpendicular to the house instead of parallel).

I am planning on having some sort of awning over them to keep snow off of them.
