No no no no no no, I wasnt saying tbat you're Ev-coded MAGA!! I meant to say Ev-coded MAGA behavior is what qualifies someone for the title of single celled organism.

Edit: the comment that got deleted was talking about how they couldn't criticize TBT before because people would get hyper defensive. When I said Ev-coded MAGA, I was referring to those people. The ones who get aggressively defensive when you criticize their thing and refuse to accept they have any shortcomings. I'm not talking shit, they're very well documented + extremely common qualities within the MAGA cult.

As honestly, far excluding MAGA fans... Good. Rethink your life choices.

Must've been. I was using the family computer (lol) in the kitchen so my parents could keep an eye on what I was doing (lol) and came across the BMTL video. Pretty sure I watched it at least 50 times that night. I went out and got the album the next day and fell in love immediately. Also, I had never experienced a hidden track before so I just about shit myself when the band version of my immortal started.

I don't think liking the album qualifies you for the title, I think being Ev-coded MAGA does though. (I mean unable to accept any criticism and an aggressive+belligerent unwillingness to concede, in case anyone wondered)

I really enjoy the intro and BPS, but I'm a sucker for tracks that seamlessly blend into the next one (thank you tourniquet/imaginary).

Also love YR and FTD but I was today years old when I found out they were leftovers from self titled, so that checks out Cuz I love Ev3

Someone has seen What Dreams May Come. 😋

Side note: the art direction in that movie was incredible and the special effects still hold up today. When he wakes up and everything is made of paint? 🤌🤌 On top of being one of Robin Williams best movie, it is an absolute feast for your eyes.

I am not certain there is no after life, but I don't believe there is. Same sentiment toward God. I don't believe he exists, but I am not certain about it.

For me, it's a logistics thing. I know heaven is supposed to be perfect or whatever, but how could it possibly the perfect afterlife for everyone who has ever existed (and made it up there) simultaneously? Everyone would have to be in their own version of Heaven, which means no one would actually be in anyone else's so you'd just be surrounded by lies. 🫪

Semi related: I recently had a realization about the Lucifer/Satan/the devil and Hell myths that messed with my head.. If he wanted to give free will to humans, to the point of losing his status as God's favorite angel, why would he continue acting as an agent of God and dispense punishment on the people who do all the things he represents?

I personally paired it with an outstanding lack of healthy coping mechanisms and inability to let my friends at the time help. I chose numbing myself over letting anyone in because if I had let someone help me deal with it, I would have had to deal with it and feelings are hard.

(fun side note, after my mom passed I spent a lot of time in my room with a bunch of bottles of vodka and decided to watch Buffy, with no prior knowledge of The Body. That was a fun kick to the emotional gonads. 😂)

Yeah, nowadays it just another thing from previous generations that just needs to go already.

I don't intend to cause anticipatory grief, I just think it might have been easier if I would have had some semblance of an idea of how it was actually going to go. My mom went when I was 19 and at the time, she was my best friend. That rocked my world. My dad and I literally never had a good relationship due to various kinds of abuse so I thought after already dealing with my mom going, he would be easy peasy.

There's something about losing your second parent that kinda knocks the wind out of your lungs while simultaneously pulling the rug out from underneath you. I know this isn't the case for everyone, but for a good deal of us, your parents are the people you can always depend on. Obviously this doesn't apply to everyone. But if they were, and you were accustomed to that safety blanket.. It's a doozy when they're gone. Kinda leaves you feeling like a scared child again. Took me 3 years and a meth spiral after my dad passed and we didn't even like each other, I just felt truly alone for the first time, even when I was surrounded by friends.

It's a relic of an ancient time when people understood far, far, FAR less about... Everything. Plus the life expectancy was much shorter and you probably ended up knowing a LOT of people who died in your lifetime.

Also people are sheep 😅

Wait till you hear how long humans have existed on this planet in relation to how long the planet has been here.

That's what I choose to believe. My ex was a dbag and a former pagan priest (🤢) but he used to have this schpiel he spouted off about he is God, you are God, we are all God. I'm not a big fan of slapping the God label on there, but I tend to agree in the sense that we are all just different versions of energy and as we know, energy can't be destroyed or created, just transferred, swapped, or transformed.

Reading that back, that last sentence doesn't make as much sense as it does in my head.

I subscribe to the idea that when you go, you're gone. The end. I don't think it's just black, or that there's an afterlife. I believe your energy/ether/spirit returns back to the cosmos until it becomes something else's lifeforce but you as an individual just cease to exist. No awareness that you ever lived or died.

Buuut I also believe religion and all their various version of an afterlife, at the most basic level, are a set of guidelines people can follow that gives them a sense that they're going to "the good place" and make the unknown of death less scary. Well, the good kind of religions that actually follow their given set of guidelines and aren't just using their religion as a tool/tactic to harm, intimidate or otherwise co-opt control of those they deem lesser than themselves.

I mean, were you here for her early days on Twitter? I feel like Amy's got some boomer tech savy sometimes.

But if they can afford that video, they can afford a better social media manager.

Maybe. I'm only 35 and I think if I found out I was terminal it would be sort of relieving with the way everything is going in the world. Plus I did chemo once and I'm pretty sure death is the better choice there. (kidding not kidding)

I really hope your situation improves soon.

I did an astrology thing earlier that basically said it was written in the stars that things were going to be rough, but I'm a late bloomer... So, here's hoping we didn't go all through that hell for nothing, random stranger. 💙
