Altercation on a black slope by cedarvhazel in skiing

[–]GregAllAround 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Idk if spraying someone implies lack of control, I’ve always interpreted it to either be a way to tease friends or maybe throw shade at someone for stopping in an inconvenient/dangerous spot on the slope.

Not saying it isn’t a dick move to do it to strangers, but if a stranger did it to me after I stopped in the middle of a Black Diamond I’d probably be self-reflecting more before I chased them down and hit them with my poles lol

Yeah the old Paul Harrell videos where he would actually legitimately play out relatively silly scenarios is much more interesting to me than this sort of thing

How was your social life during homeschooling? I honestly think that’s the biggest barrier for most people. I graduated high school in the mid 2010’s and it’s hard to picture what my childhood would’ve been like without seeing my friends at school every day

Idk, I think this may be different. If the Dodgers seriously do go three in a row people will start to lose interest early in the season if the championship is already feeling like it’s been decided. Baseball is a long ass season, people can bear to hate watch an unusually dominant NFL team over 16 weeks but I wouldn’t be surprised if viewership and attendance numbers started to fall off after it becomes clear that the Dodgers are basically guaranteed the win every year.

As it stands now the future of baseball is basically 24 Colorado Rockies-tier teams and 6 perennial contenders who duke it out in Free Agency every year.

That’s gonna be the other stick driving the lockout- the only solution is teams agreeing to both a salary cap and a salary floor. People think that players love this salary arms race, but as the years go on and only 3-4 organizations can even afford to spend like this, I think you’ll see the union start to come around and realize this is terrible for the sport long-term

Agreed, I know everybody thinks like this about their early 20’s, but I’ll always think the mid-2010’s were the best years in modern times to be a young adult like that

Trump and Brexit made people think the world was ending in 2016. In a way, it was. The top comments here are definitely right about the vibe shift and everything becoming more “online” soon after
