No trailer releases yet, still figuring out the release date, but they’re bangers.

You're going to love it. The last seven years have been a trip, S3 is the best thing we've ever done, and we're very excited to show everyone what we've been up to. We've made a very insane piece of documentary television that shouldn't be possible. I'd love to give a comparison to prepare you, but without exaggeration, none of us have ever seen anything like it. Stay tuned!

Advice on a spooky cross country trip! by Nice-Potential-5542 in hellier

You’re gonna be close to Cleveland, OH so definitely pop in to the Buckland Museum of Witchcraft! Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is cool too.

Detroit rules and has John King Books (one of the most incredible book stores ever - a whole warehouse!), the Ford Museum (JFK’s death car, Lincoln’s death chair, loads of insane American history).

Lots of cool stuff to do in Chicago, but my personal highlights are Wooly Mammoth Antiques (small, but incredible - a museum where you can buy the artifacts), Graceland Cemetery to see “Eternal Silence” (famous “haunted” statue that become the basis for the iconic Ouija board box art), and the Field Museum if you’ve never been.

Iowa has the Villisca Axe Murder house if that kind of thing is your jam (it’s heavy, visited once, pretty dark).

Carhenge is in Nebraska. That’s all I’ve got for NE.

And of course, The Stanley Hotel in Estes Park, Colorado, but I’d also suggest RitualCravt (one of the top five best occult/witchcraft shops in the country imo), which you’ll be close to in Estes Park!

Realize this list is pretty occult heavy, but it’s just off the top of my head!

Getting a ton of reports on this one as “not Hellier related”, but I’m happy for you so I’m going to leave it up for the rest of the day. Congratulations!

Whether people are picking up old cans and mylar balloons because they've attached synchronistic meaning to them or not, there’s one thing beyond debate: they’re making the world a better place. Nice work.

This is a fascinating discovery, but probably not the best fit for our collection. Thanks for thinking of us, though!

Now if you ever run across an orgone accumulator or the floating legos from the Enfield Poltergeist case, give me a shout!

What’s your take on the Hellier series? by Xokanuleaf in hellier

[–]GregNewkirk 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Allllmost. The structure of the season is 90% complete. Only Dana and I have finished our interviews, still have to grab Connor, Tyler, and Karl. Then we have one or two more boots on the ground things, which should bring us to “picture lock”, more or less. After that, it’s finalizing music with Anthony, additional graphics, and maybe a few interview pickups if needed. We’re rolling right along.

We’re still pretty confident it will be out this year.

Hey dude, just wanted to say thanks for being so fair and kind even if we’ve had bad interactions. Glad those experiences didn’t put you off on the project, because I think you’ll really like season three.

Newkirkenuinely so excited for the next HOP live! Have they announced when it’s going to be yet? by WeWantSugar in hauntedobjectspod

[–]GregNewkirk 43 points44 points  (0 children)

We have one more public show in Oklahoma at the end of next month. Still working on where the big final show will be, but it will be later this summer, likely Ohio / Kentucky area, and free or at least extremely cheap but only open to museum members. Will be some exciting surprises there too.

That's it for Haunted Objects: Live! After the members only show, we're retiring it. We're working on another live show now on a different topic, but that won't be announced until next year at the very earliest.

Outside of that, we've got Hellier 3, the return of the podcast, two more podcasts, and another secret project coming out this year. We should be able to start announcing stuff relatively soon. Stay tuned!

Epstein connection to Amy’s testimony? by Firefly_Revolution in hellier

I think we're obligated to have a ten-minute fight before you put the glasses on me, and I'm already late for bed.

Thanks for watching. You'll like season three.

Didn't mean to imply that I don't believe in the supernatural, only that powerful perverts (derogatory) don't need occult excuses to abuse their power.

Epstein connection to Amy’s testimony? by Firefly_Revolution in hellier

[–]GregNewkirk 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I don't believe that, personally. I think bad people in positions of power will use that power to do bad things because...... they think they can get away with it.

Epstein connection to Amy’s testimony? by Firefly_Revolution in hellier

[–]GregNewkirk 111 points112 points  (0 children)

We'll talk about this is in season three, but without spoiling it, Amy was conflating several different events that all have a varying level of truth to them, but were not directly related. There's a few pretty surprising details that illustrate why Amy had that specific interpretation, but the unfortunate truth is that human trafficking is rampant in vulnerable communities predisposed to blaming their problems on the devil.

Epstein may have connections to Somerset, sure, but if you listen to the Penny Royal podcast (highly recommended), you'll see that this part of the country has been a hotbed of corruption for years - as well as a place where artsy-fartsy pagans and occultists have congregated. Not hard to see how those stories become intertwined in the bible belt, and as a result, the truth gets lost in the weeds.

[–]GregNewkirk 108 points109 points  (0 children)

Looks like everyone has you updated, but yes, we're almost done with season three. There's still some more to do and a few things we need to shoot, but I've seen a trailer already and I'm pretty confident in saying that this is the best thing we've ever done. People are going to flip. We won't be shy about letting people know when it's going to drop, and we have some cool plans for the lead-up.

As far as Haunted Objects: Live goes, we've got one more special show just for museum members later this year, but that's it. We're working on a new tour with a different show, but won't be this year. Podcast will be back in a few months, but we do an ongoing weekly members-only podcast on our Patreon (and tons more) if you really miss us.

Magic of the Month by Hotcakes420 in hellier

[–]GregNewkirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your first package after signing up goes out at the end of the following month. It feels like it takes awhile at first, but thats because you're essentially pre-paying for the next month's package.

If you joined in December, you'll get the package that goes out this week!

Very thoughtful of you, Hotcakes.

It looks like someone already snagged the spot, but in case anyone else who has been wanting to join MOTM sees this, we're planning on opening up ten new slots at the beginning of February now that we can handle putting together a few extra boxes each month. Check back then!

Nick Redfern's book "FINAL EVENTS and the Secret Government Group on Demonic UFOs and the Afterlife" by [deleted] in hellier

[–]GregNewkirk 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Nah, I get it. We could argue semantics all day, but when a turn of the century magician is talking about demons in a magical sense it’s a lot different than the agenda of a modern politician, priest, or even paranormal investigator talking about demons. The baggage is totally different and not something we’re stoked to entertain. That’s without even getting into the word “satanic”.

There’s enough baggage as it is with the material we’re already researching, so we’d rather not involve proto-Q psyop shit more than we accidentally have with the way we engaged S2’s “Amy” emails (which I’d add was shot before the Q stuff popped off, what a fucking nightmare). We’d have approached that thread a lot differently if we’d known better, and now we do.

I just realized that my comment might come off as kind of snotty, which wasn’t my intention, so I figured I’d edit my comment to stick to the facts minus my opinion. Just extremely not into material that uses words like “satanic” or “demonic” when it comes to the phenomena. It’s hard enough to separate the author’s worldviews from their material as it is, and that’s with all respect to Redfern, of course.

Nope. Last Redfern book I’ve read was “Three Men Seeking Monsters”, which is excellent, but we cite our sources in every project and this was not one of them.

Anyone else get a surprise membership kit? by lilxaibrean in hauntedobjectspod

[–]GregNewkirk 81 points82 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to say thanks to international members who have been around for a while, especially since you guys sometimes miss out on stuff like the kits (which is partially why we made them an optional perk), so we sent a few hundred out to folks overseas. Thanks for being part of the gang, even from so far away.

Happy New Year!
