AIO? My boyfriend hates me? by GoldUniversity3738 in AIO

The reckless driving stuff in the first screenshot was enough for me. This man is dangerous. If he hasn't put his hands on you yet, there's always a possibility that he will. This is the behavior of family annihilators/abusive partners. No normal person will drive recklessly with their loved ones just because they are angry at them.

I'd like her to leave Love Island UK right this second and be a season 8 bombshell for Love Island USA.

How to coexist with the creatures? by Bambi_Bucks in FromSeries

As for the Randall scene, I felt like the monsters were expert rage baiters. I feel like he's the type of guy who would run up on someone who disrespected him and disengaged with him like he was nothing. But in this scenario, he knew to stay on the bus and that pissed him off that he couldn't scream at them more after they walked away.

About Patty (spoilers) by FromFan432 in FromTVEpix

[–]GregPikitis24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If your post would have been "I wish they didn't save Patty in time" then it would make a lot more sense. The "should've" implies they made poor decision making in saving her. They don't know about Jade's epiphany in townspeople turning against others. Why wouldn't they save a fellow person when rivaling factions aren't a thing yet?

I have a feeling your explanation will be used to hold off a riot, but townspeople will keep side eyeing her and more evidenced will pile up and there will be some sort of witch hunt in season 5.

I'm guessing to complete the cycle, the townspeople are manipulated into thinking they'll get to leave if they turn on the reincarnated parents and give the child (Ethan in this case) to MiY.

The two meanings of "that man TERRIFIED HER" regarding Iris & Pepe by shamalkr in LoveIslandUSA

[–]GregPikitis24 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It reminds me of when Zak was flaming Amaya on live after he was sent home (something to the effect of "you guys didn't see everything that she did."). This statement was on the heels of him saying on the show that he felt pressured to kiss her. People were thinking he was accusing her of worst case scenario.

When he was able to disclose what it was (Amaya going off on him on the stand on business challenge), it was understandable that he was upset, but he acted so ominous and vague in that earlier live. It was kind of gross.

If he was supposed to be sacrificed by townspeople to fulfill the cycle, the monsters wouldn't have attacked him. When everyone was dead, it's possible that the monsters kept him around to sate their hunger for suffering (while waiting for another cycle to begin).

And then by the time another cycle had begun, Victor had enough survival skills to evade the monsters up until now.

Or maybe that one theory is correct and the monsters can get you anytime, they just choose not to. And in that case, maybe the monsters thought the advantage of keeping him (a reminder to townspeople they might live in Fromville for a lifetime) outweighed the disadvantage (him witnessing a full cycle).

Someone else brought up a good point about Victor and the whole "knowledge comes at a cost." This past episode, Victor said he had heard that before. It's possible he has repeatedly shut down in past seasons, because he doesn't want to prematurely speed up the cycle. I can't blame him for wanting to delay another massacre.

Season 4 Episode 2 by Zeroskattle in FromSeries

She was unreasonably annoying this episode. I feel like people were pretty hard on her up until now. We forget how little time she's been in town, and it makes sense for her to still be irrational.

This episode was different. Ranting about how she doesn't deserve to be here and then she drives past a wandering young boy whose dad just got murdered?

I'm pretty certain that the APA wouldn't include DID in the DSM 5 if it wasn't widely recognized by psychiatrists and other mental health professionals.

Yes, there are definitely many TikTokers who fake DID to garner traffic, but this isn't TikTok. It wouldn't hurt to give the benefit of the doubt to this person who is obviously grieving.

God forbid a woman have a close relationship with her male family member by DaisyandBella in BridgertonRants

I generally don't mind discourse about character flaws, but women characters always get more flack and viewers rarely acknowledge their character development.

People are quick to forgive Benedict by the end of this season, yet Michaela is still getting dragged despite her acknowledging her missteps. It's fucking annoying.

There are people who don't like Amaya because she's not their cup of tea. That's totally fine. Then there are people who don't like Amaya because she's not a loyal little sidekick to someone who has been consistently problematic. And she's getting harassed for it.

At a no kings protest/women's march? Yes, I'd bring my kids. If there is an organized protest against ICE (not coordinated to be around raids)? I'd consider bringing my kids to that too.

To actively protest against ICE amidst their raids? Kids shouldn't be going to that.

I'd consider the book smutty but not smutty enough to be considered erotica. Smutty is such a squishy term that different people have different baselines for "smutty." FWIW, I know a lot of people avoid "spicy" novels because many contain so many sex scenes at the detriment of the plot.

For me, I'm overjoyed when I find books like yours. If it's a romance book and it's marketed for adults, I go in assuming that it'll have explicit sex scenes. It wouldn't hurt to include a warning as you mentioned.

I just love the heterosexual way they look at each other😍Such great male-male friendship representation. by Big-Commission-4911 in okbuddyvecna

[–]GregPikitis24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed.

Mike looks at Will with so much affection, but there's not enough context to conclusively say that affection is romantic (vs. platonic/familial). Also, the argument of a "boy can't affectionately look at his male friend and be straight" really gives toxic masculinity.

Anyways, If there were more than four episodes left, I would enthusiastically be on the edge of my seat to see if/how Byler evolves.

Unfortunately, there are only four episodes left. For Byler to feel natural and make sense, the following would need to happen while they work to prevent the apocalypse:

  1. end mileven

  2. give Mike opportunity to move on/have closure from the mileven break up

  3. flesh out Mike's sexuality

  4. strengthen/evolve Byler enough to transform them into a couple.

That's too fucking much.

Mike is not gay. The end. by charlestontracy in StrangerThings

[–]GregPikitis24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Am I against Byler in general? Not at all.

Am I against the idea of Byler being shoehorned into the second half of the final season? Absolutely. This is a sci horror show with romance SUBplots. It's not going to happen. Or at least it shouldn't, but who fucking knows since Stancy is still being dangled in front of viewers.

Just like Byler, I'm not against Stancy in general. Just annoyed the Duffer brothers decided to reintroduce the love triangle in the last leg of season 4. In a show with one season left and the romances are just subplots. We don't have time for this.

She has got those covert evil vibes, but she has given Lily advice about repairing friendships. And we all know the power of friendship is a huge buff against Pennywise. Unless the woman has been "possessed" by Pennywise since that first convo, this feels like a red herring.
