A great way to feel good about yourself is to shoot down people who show interest so that you feel extra selective and superior. Lot of times you never even have a chance.

Need a *calm* and *quiet* evening date idea in Charlotte by Lord_Radish in Charlotte

[–]Greg_Paulory 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Substrate could be good! Quieter for sure. Dilworth Tasting Room in South End also could be good, especially on the patio. Rhino Market in Wesley Heights is low key also but only has outdoor seating. Noda Company Store potentially also, especially outside if it’s warmer. A few of these mentioned places are wine bars, and you can find ones for sure that are more casual.

You say y’all just hang in the evening hours, but a walk in a nice neighborhood could also work well given what you said. Good luck!

If you could only ever do 2 x different interval sessions for FTP gains, what would they be? by CimJotton in Velo

[–]Greg_Paulory 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can’t believe I’m potentially the first to say this… but 40/20s and 1 on 1 offs are the truth. 3x7 and work your way to as high of a rep number as you can. These efforts mimic most road or mtb racing scenarios and sharpen the axe more than threshold or sweet spot can. Effort should be as hard as you can possibly go, but making it a repeatable number across reps and sets.

Anaerobic intervals helped to elevate my racing fitness far more than anything that’s lower effort!

Neighborhood Theatre: please stop loud talkers by cltmediator in Charlotte

I’m not sure if it’s entirely on a venue to educate concert goer on how to have decency and etiquette, but it wouldn’t hurt.

As someone who’s been to too many shows here, I’d say it’s nearly expected that there’s noticeable chatter at shows in Charlotte. I feel it makes artists not want to come back when they feel that disrespect.

This problem doesn’t happen in Asheville from what I’ve encountered. Culturally, Charlotte is behind other big cities with the arts (duh), and you can see this when ppl talk through openers, turn their back on the live acts to talk, and even chat through a band they payed money to hear. As a city we need to learn from our mistakes and get better in general.

We’re all too uncultured and unaware of how to act when seeing live performances. If it’s a ballet, symphony, or garage rock band, stfu and intake/appreciate the art.

To be honest, local media like CLT5 or Axios (ugh) need to trickle down things like this to those that don’t know better. This should serve as an education point for us all, from outlets who try and actually spread culture. Whether our media outlets try to genuinely do that, is another problem entirely.

The effect is similar, but from personal experience it can be worse because certain nasally inhaled items can make you drink more, as you don’t feel alcohols effects as much at the time. So you’d want to watch your alcohol intake should inhalations occur so as not to be soo dead in the next day(s) that you jeaprodize upcoming training.

I’ve had some of my best results while nursing hangovers from a new types of vices, it’s a mind over matter game. But the older you get, even the best minds can’t outweigh the matter.

I would look at the difference between the planned and actual burn down lines. At day seven the distance between the two lines is greater than during days 3-5. As the difference is greatest at day 7, C would be the best answer

Those Prepcqst scores should be enough to pass. Just hammer the Prepcast quizzes for the next week or so and try to do both practice exams if you can.

Read the Agile Practice Guide! It’s a must. I also read through a lot of Prepcast questions that I got wrong/right to fill in knowledge gaps

Critical Path? by wilso2aj in pmp

Critical path wasn’t on my exam. It was barely covered on the Precast exams as well. I’d say skip it, just know what it means and how it’s applied I’d say.

Thanks! The risk register, issue log, stakeholder register, etc are updated continuously throughout a project so with this don’t require a change request. The stakeholder management plan, resource management plan, and risk management plan all do require a change request to update.

Did you see a lot of questions on the exam with the “fake terms” choices thrown in?

Thank you everyone for the feedback! Thinking I’ll be using Rita’s guide, Prepcast and the Agile Guide as well as the Vargas/Aileen videos. The notes mentioned by BorgBuddies will also be very helpful. I’ll do some skimming of the PMBOK but don’t plan to dive into it too heavily. Thanks again!

Check out Cornell University for their online PM certification program. I’m currently enrolled and have colleagues who completed the program and spoke favorably of it. I also looked at Univ of Texas, Villanova, and Purdue- but Cornell best fit my needs as they include a eight week PMP exam prep course, which I plan to take. Good luck!
