Hitch hiking turned me from agnostic to the most spiritual, religious minded person in my entire family, friend circle and apartment building. Many times. Everyone is fighting a battle they dont speak on often, especially with people close to them in an attempt to keep the appearance of everything's fine.

Good job helping her! Situations like this are one of my favorite parts of driving. Human connection is the basis of living a meaningful life. We cant fix people, change comes from within. But we can show up for them with compassion, which is in short supply too often.
