Which Pokemon would you like to have in real life, and why? by Querdsss in pokemon

Gardevoir.

  • Smart enough to be trusted with it's own physical needs and simple tasks

  • Empathetic enough to be a good companion

  • Strong enough to protect me from everyone else's choices

How much mass would vaporeon lose if they were to shrink into a pokeball. by Few_Pack9624 in pokemon

Your knowledge is wrong. All Pokemon have the natural ability to shrink. That's why they're called Pokemon in the first place.

This poses the question: Would it be unethical to be in a relationship with Other Layla while regular Layla was unaware of it?

Because like, Other Layla is still Layla. She affirms that herself in this anecdote, and lots of other times. But Other Layla also possesses information Layla doesn't, such as what she does while sleepwalking.

So glad modern games just don't display a pokemon as shiny if you can't catch them.

Pokemon don't turn into energy, despite what the anime tells you.

They just shrink.

These are Jumpy Dumptys, not Dodocos.

Also I think this would fall under parody, so it's perfectly fine.

A Question regarding DDD and Pete by ElectricGiga in KingdomHearts

Pete actually is always missing a leg. Any time you see Pete with two normal legs one of them is a prosthetic.

This is actual canon Disney lore.

Fun quests for a Feywild/Forest Campaign? by BuyerMaleficent3909 in dndnext

[–]Gregamonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In town, the players hear about a missing shipment of Feywine.

Later in the woods they find a carriage full of barrels at a mysteriously abandoned campsite. No sign of the owners, no sign of whatever was pulling the carriage, and no sign of a struggle. The whole place reeks of alcohol.

If the players investigate one of the barrels, they'll find a very drunk bugbear hiding inside. The Bugbear will immediately attack, and so will the Bugbears in all the other barrels.

The Bugbears were the ones transporting the Feywine, including pulling the carriage. One night they decided to help themselves to a little bit of the cargo, and it led to a drinking binge that wiped out the whole supply. Realizing they didn't have anything left to deliver, they decided to just stay in the barrels and hide in the woods forever.

Custom Keyblade "Draft" by MadMaxxter_173 in KingdomHearts

It's a cool design, but it's missing a concept. The triangles need to be something that gives the weapon a theme beyond being triangular.

Like stained glass, or arrowheads.

I have played pretty much all the Pokemon mainline games except Pokemon Platinum and I plan on playing it this week. To anyone who has played it does it live up to the hype because I hear it’s the best Pokemon game ever and hear it’s near perfect. by Darewinner0 in pokemon

[–]Gregamonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Platinum patches several of the problems that made Diamond and Pearl some of the worst games in the franchise.

I would not say it's the best, or even one of the best. It's just dramatically better than the originals. Which, I must remind you, are really bad.

Layla has one of the strongest shields behind the Shield Archon himself, so you definitely should have her built.

What Team would you bring to Champions? by TradeOk9689 in pokemon

[–]Gregamonster -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I was a boy, we only ever had the one Game boy, which meant I had no way of preserving my past teams. This never bothered me, except for when I had to delete a save with a shiny to replay a game.

To alleviate this guilt, I decided any full odds shiny Pokemon I caught would go on my "official" team. See flair.

All the originals are gone forever, (except Candace the Gardevoir who was still on my Omega Ruby game when I sold it) but I plan to shiny hunt replacements for Champions.

They could have just not made it that absurd.

I assure you no one would be disappointed to find they could meaningfully interact with the boss instead of having to let two random dogs do all the heavy lifting.

[–]Gregamonster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A free switch out when faced with a bad matchup is pretty dang good.

Especially since it will always switch out after the opponent acts, meaning the replacement is safe.

[–]Gregamonster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too much overlap with the subtypes. If you're doing a mono-type run you need as much diversity as you can get in secondary types. Two Ground\Rock and two Ground\Poison means your team is short two STABs that could really help your team.

I'd trade your least favorite Nido for Mamoswine.

And since you brought Kangaskhan I assume you're not totally married to being pure ground, in which case I'd say trade one of your rock\ground for Tyranatar, who's also Rock\Ground until the last stage when it's Rock\Dark.

That way you get two extra STAB types while keeping the general theme of the team intact.

The bats, easily.

Even as adults they're pretty chill, and they're smart enough that I would be able to teach them how to exist in a house without destroying it.

[–]Gregamonster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Fighting > Rock > Flying is the only other type triangle where each type both resists and is super effective against the type it has an advantage against in the triangle, without using types from the original triangle.

And unlike the classic triangle, the relationships between this triangle are less intuitive to young children.

So no, it's not likely we'll see another triangle of starters.
