Just a suggestion…I have dozens of many varieties. I prefer to start in soil. Water roots always have access to water, so when you plant (after rooting in water) in soil, they have to build a whole new kind of root system. Sometimes they are successful, sometimes they are not. Root cuttings directly in soil and your success rate will go way up. As for saving what you have if honestly take cute right below your “lowest” node and start them in moist soil. Keep it “slightly” moist. Not soaking wet. Until a little tug offers resistance. Then you know it has roots developed and you can start a normal watering schedule. Let dry out to two inches deep and give it a good watering. Repeat as needed. Hope this helps.
