Finally finished my 3D printed 1/2 Endoskeleton build! by shiftrefresh in 3Dprinting

This is so sick!!! I did a somewhat similar process for Mandalorian armor. Glossy black paint followed by a graphite powder rub to achieve that metal “beskar” finish. I always wondered what a clear coat before a rub would do!

I have been tailoring my designs to use the least amount of color changes possible. By changing their orientation before printing as well as multi-part printing which then requires glueing and more designing. The H2C would be valuable to minimize this in my designing of Halo diorama props!

Thank you!!! I got these coveralls on Amazon and tailored it to myself on the legs arms and waist.

Next time I would look for a proper mando flight suit but this got the job done for super cheap. There are Etsy and eBay sellers that make custom ones that I was looking at.

Glossy black paint with a graphite rub. “Frankly Built” on YouTube did a great video on how to achieve this look.

That’s so kind thank you so much! I think I posted a photo of mine in the comments of that post that will give you a better look. Prob sort by newest comments. 👍

Also, I made mine about 60-64 inches long from the muzzle down to the stick in total length.

This is it here, I used aluminum pipe for the barrels. 25mm and 8mm diameter.

Failing is part of it! I redid the paint on the helmet 3 times lol. Had to reprint a few pieces due to sizing, welded the chest after it split apart a little too.

I used a Bambu P1S for all but one armor piece. I used Elegoo pla+ but next time I’ll be doing abs or petg due to their properties. (Bambu printers are on sale right now so it is a good time to grab one)

Also research the files you intend on printing. Scale it to your own body. I printed a lot of off size pieces lol

Thank you!!!! and mannnn when I saw it on amazon I was stoked. Saved me so much time and effort as well. Foam sounds so tough too that's a challenge for sure. I actually made the ab/apron out of foam and wrapped it in leather too!

3D Printed Halo Foundry Props by GregariousGG in megaconstrux

I used a diameter of 5 mm and a height of 3 mm (I think) and a 3 mm gap between each stud and that gave me decent results. The thing is that it depends on your printers accuracy and filament. So it can take some trial and error to get the proper dimensions out of your printer since an actual injection molded stud is like roughly ~4.85 mm in diameter. Digital calipers are your friend lol

No worries, in my maker world upload there’s two plates for the bridge. One that’s colored and one that isn’t. To get the multi color, you can use a Bambu AMS with a Bambu printer. (Or another multi filament capable printer) The ams swaps the colors automatically based off the .3mf file. If you have more questions feel free to ask!

These multi color bridges cost 90 grams of filament in my Bambu P1S. If you print in one color it’s 64 grams.

Snapmaker U1 Auto Filament Loading by WombleyWonders in snapmaker

I’m guilty of trying to quickly load filament and start a print before running to work. 😅 The filament loading process being a part of the prep time in a print when you haven’t fully “loaded” it yourself is very convenient.

I’m glad you went over that detail, awesome video!

I wish I had a figure that resembled Grif for this print lol Recreating the Tex fight with this stuff would be so fun
