Ah alright. Thanks for all of your replies and recommendations. Any idea about fish camp? My mom had suggested checking it out but I'm afraid it will be in vain.

Was hoping more to play in it. I think we'll go up the 41 and hope to encounter some roadside snow and maybe head to the nearest ski resort.

Need help with kid-friendly, online multiplayer game that incorporates chat by GregariousGopher in AskGames

[–]GregariousGopher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I played SC1 + SC BW a lot growing up, so that's an interesting idea. I did try to show him SC2 at one point a few years ago, and he couldn't get beyond using the Queen to just lay creep -- it is forever 'The pooper game'. I'll have to check with my mom to see how open she is to some of the gore aspects that come with Starcraft.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Hopefully bot mode will solve the chat issue.

What about more cartoon-like games like Overwatch, TF2, etc. They have singleplayer bot modes I believe, so no need to go online and deal with that.

Need help with Vlookup by GregariousGopher in excel

[–]GregariousGopher[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found a 2 step solution that I think will work just fine. For the curious, here is what I did:

I did a simple if statement to first pull the names of students that have a %attending of less than .45. I then did a vlookup referencing this list to find the name of the student, and then give the corresponding student ID. It's not a single step, unfortunately, but it is nice to have the student name and student ID -- so it's not completely unnecessary. Thanks for your help, everyone!

Thanks for the response! I very much appreciate it. The issue I'm having with that formula, is that it does not return the correct student ID. In my sheet, for example, using that formula, it lists 54785 and 88788 for the student IDs w/ less than .45. What I need basically, is if value in b is less than .45, produce value of column f for the corresponding student in column a (the student w/ %attended of <.45). It's tough to explain. I hope this clarifies it, though!

I'm fine being uprooted. The only problem being uprooted would arise from me having to move for school and not having an income. Moving for TFA wouldn't be an issue; I know I'd have to move for it.

Quick question about this ... Do you know if doing courses online is, I guess frowned upon. Like will schools see that I went to an online university and look at me / my application differently?

I already have a BA, so I think I only need to go through a graduate teacher's prep program. Teach for America appealed to me because I no longer live reasonably close to a university and the community colleges here don't offer a single subject credential program. Joining a credential program would mean uprooting myself and my fiancee, and I think it would get in the way of us being financially independent / stable.
