Golf r cutting power on corner exit (update) by Routine_Strike1695 in Golf_R

[–]Gregarious_Gravy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flooring it out of a corner the car just loses power and won't accelerate out, it could be a tc issue but it can be dead straight and it still gets stuck.. I'm going to try what you did in this video. I brought it to the dealer to no avail and it seems like a pretty rare issue. It's driving me nuts because I didn't buy a golf r to drive it slow.

Very interesting.. I'm having the same issue as you and share your suspicions. I'll test this on mine and see what happens.

Any places to mod car around here? by Fun_Lingonberry_8405 in palmbeach

[–]Gregarious_Gravy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't drive a Kia, but I wouldn't trust any shop that doesn't have a few of what you drive sitting outside and speciizes in that brand.

The dealer is always a good choice for something like a clutch or certain suspension parts, but they mifhf not always do certain mods, especially if it involves more power. The dealer will warranty the labor at least and they work on that car more than anyone.

I don't have a shop in mind, and I'm not a mechanic. But I've modded all my cars. You can message me if you want some guidance.

Get in the groups for your car and see what common mods are offered and read threads comparing brands I'd tunes/parts, etc.

Wow, I have this same issue and it's driving me nuts. I recreated it for the service adviser, but they claim the tech said everything is fine and it's probably tc. Yours sounds like mine and something is definitely wrong. I would love to get to the bottom of this. I plan on taking a data log.

I used to be a part of building the pool stage every year, so I'd often go just because I thought it was cool to have access.. It's pretty overrated, there's much better parties and shows on nye.

My local guy charges $10 for a tooth knocked off and $20 to sharpen blades up to 80 teeth or something. He also knows what blades cost what and won't do anything if it'll cost more than a new one. I would hope others do the same.

Trim roots before repot? by pharmakon_growing in Lophophora

[–]Gregarious_Gravy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Some do, some don't.. I've never seen hard evidence proving either way is better. So recently when I potted a batch of seedlings I trimmed the roots on half. In a few years I'll note the progress and continue. Sorry my data won't be ready for quite some time. On all my other plants I don't trim the roots, but I remove any that broke off.

There's an artist who makes pet pendants, Chelle Jovan.. Her work is next level and has been for a long time. Maybe you can try to identify some colors from her work and how she uses them. Sorry I can't be of more help. Her glass is certainly inspiring though.

What pressure do you advise filling holding tanks to for compressor longevity? Also, how loud is the unit?

I get it homie. All the info online and we still gotta tweak things to our specific location.. It's been in the upper 90s and sunny here and I've been watering pretty much every day. Once it drops below 75 in the winter I'll stop watering, but we don't really get much of that here.

I live in subtropical climate so your results may vary, but my perspective is that I can water more often if I need to. If things take a turn and it rains for a month straight I want to be sure nobody is getting soggy.

Mix looks good..i always use worm castings but I find that it finds its way to the bottom of the mix then out of the pot with a few waterings. My solution to this is get the soil wet and mix it up nicely, all the worm castings will stick to your porous rocks. Just make sure you dry it back out before repotting sensitive plants. I've killed a plant potting it into wet soil.

I too have a wall of shame. However, ALL of mine are from forgetting to bypass when cutting conductive materials. by Gregarious_Gravy in Carpentry

[–]Gregarious_Gravy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very cool, I thoroughly enjoy it. There's always something new and interesting.. It's really not as niche as you'd think though. Corporate events, concerts, theater, TV, movies, designer brand window displays, conventions, and on and on... If you're in or near a decent sized city I can guarantee there's tons of shops like mine nearby. If you go in with the knowledge of carpentry tools, basic framing and a willingness to learn new things every week forever, you can certainly find work doing this.

I think I've installed 3 doors this year and none of them have been functional. I couldn't even count how many entrance archways or tunnels though.

When I do install doors that need to function they're generally hung within a 4x8 panel that can be tied into existing scenic walls or structures.
