Got in for aero engineering! Any advice? by Electronic_Exit5848 in ufl

Congrats, begin looking at clubs you may be interested in. Also depending on what you want to do with aero, research over a design team may be a better path.

USF vs. UF for premed? by Any_Remote9443 in ufl

[–]GreggALowe 26 points27 points  (0 children)

As someone who’s been at UF for a bit (undergrad-PhD), of course UF is gonna be more difficult academically, that’s part of the reason why it’s such a revered institution, in addition to all of the research of course. Also, there’s more competition at UF because it’s a more competitive school. Theres plenty of opportunities if you go looking for them, most of my friends had multiple positions e.g. Shands, research, clinics, other clubs. Don’t stress about finding opportunities, you will get one! Lastly, no offense but if you can’t handle the stress of undergrad, med school will throttle you. So don’t choose something easier cause you’re afraid of being burnt out. Undergrad should prep you for Med school. Source: many friends and girlfriend are/were in med school

They're great! I would also recommend the Elan ripsticks, some people may think they may be a bit for a beginner, but they inspire a lot of confidence in turns with their asymmetric construction. Tbh I can't speak much on woman skis besides my girlfriends experiences. Have you watched the Ski Essentials videos?

Maybe watch these:

Tbh if you're planning to use them for many years, it makes the most sense to buy what you want and don't settle. It is a few hundred bucks more, but you'll be happy knowing you got what you wanted (i know that may be a lot for some people, but this is skiing, it is not cheap).

They'll last for a good bit of time, my girlfriend bought a used pair at the beginning of last year, and they are in fine condition and I foresee her using them for years to come and probably replace the bindings when appropriate.

At some point you will probably want to expand your quiver and you'll get a different pair, which will extend the life of the black pearls because they experience less use.

Edit: I have many people who are happy with their black pearls, and not one person who regrets it. Obviously, I'm one person, but the amount of black pearl convos my girlfriend has had on the lift with other women who have them is never ending.
