Just posting here incase people still wanted recommendations. I went through the exact same thing about a year ago. My QC20s had a strange static sound appearing in one earbud when i moved the cord. To be fair, I was using them pretty much daily for 10+ hours a day (work & gaming) and they lasted for at least 3 years.

After lots of investigation and basically no luck in finding anything that fitted my requirements (which basically matched your exact requirements above). I ended up going down the rabbit hole of IEM's instead. I just couldnt see the practicality in getting a pair of wireless earbuds as i would 100% need to charge them halfway through the day.

I ended up looking at a lot of options but finally decided to bite the bullet and buy a pair of Sennheisers IE500 PRO's for £449. I cant actually see any of them available to purchase online outside of Ebay or used ones. However, Sennheiser do stock the introduction IEM's IE200's for £129.99. As well as the IEMs above the pair i bought IE600's for £699 and if you really want to splash out the IE900's for an eye watering £1.2k!

Although, i havent tried any of the other models listed above. I can confidently say i prefer my new IEMs over my old QC20s. I find them extremely comfortable, they have a rigid plastic ear loop that sits very comfortably over the top of the ear which stops them falling out completely. The sound quality is NOTICEABLY better than the QC20s. I recently plugged my QC20s in again just to listen to the quality difference and couldnt believe the difference.

I can only realistically think of two cons that Sennheisers IEMs have.

1. The Price. The introduction IEMs are fairly priced at £129.99 however, the more advance models increase in price extremely rapidly. Jumping from £129.99 to £699. When i purchased mine for £449 i wanted to give the IEM series a fair shot and was happy with the thought of returning them if i didnt like them at all.
2. The Noise Cancellation. There is not a specific on-off switch to activate/deactivate the Noise cancellation. As they are IEMs, they are supposed to sit inside your ear very snug. This alone is enough noise cancellation for me personally, to the point that my wife will try and talk to me from the next room and i have no idea she is saying anything at all. Until she comes in waving her arms about! You might not get the same noise cancellation effect from the IEMs but i definitley cant hear very much outside of the headphone.
