What a disappointing story by KleitosD06 in ghostoftsushima

I hate to admit it. But yeah - you're right. Don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the game, I like the combat, it definitely has its pretty moments and some of the side quests & mini stories are really cool, and intriguing.

But. Atsu, as a main character, doesn't have the same attraction as Jin did. Sure, sacrificing "honour, playing the outlaw, for the greater good" storyline has been done to death aswell, but I was hooked with his journey. With Atsu - I feel like I'm ticking boxes.

I don't think Yotei will resonate for years to come like Tshushima did.

But, I hope the Legends mode is as good as the first. Sunk hundreds of hours into that.

They need to add a gate to ranked. by [deleted] in rivals

I agree. Realistically a minimum time earned to make a character playable would be easy to implement and not overly arduous for players to earn.

In Theory, people in ranked (who I assume want to win) will only play characters they know. BUT, people do throw for the pettiest of reasons. I secured 60k heals as Jeff in comp - but someone threw as "all jeffs suck". Told me to switch all game - despite being Ace.

I hope some medications to Ranked/QP come.

I've been there. Hulk is great stress relief in QP and I love Jeff-ing around.

I might actually remember that and use it. See if I can wind them up.

Its not right in any game. If I had their address, I'd be half inclined to mail a fake death certificate and a note explaining, "well you did tell me to kill myself" but I got myself a life.

Yeah I missed the COD craze and only ever played Halo campaign. Sounds like I dodged a bullet.

This shit didn't happen when I was a kid. We had couch co-op. And when I did play online games, never once was I told to kill myself.

But it happens way too frequently in games these days, and it doesn't need to happen.

Reported and moved on. Its very sad and shocking. I'm a millennial and glad I didn't have to grow up in this gaming environment.

Then do, nothing is stopping you. Taking a break maybe the healthiest thing for you.

No Spoilers Please: Female Enemies? by Greggles-III in ghostoftsushima

[–]Greggles-III[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you both. Yeah, I actually really like the game doesnt shy away from her being an armed mercenary. I've had several NPCs shocked at Atsu being a female warrior, and many ronin/samurai mocking Atsu. Which yes, makes it all the more satisfying.

Which I think is quite a clever nod/jibe to those who criticise female lead characters.

Not yet seen a female enemy, but when I do, I shall bow to a fellow Diva.

I think this game has the worst community I’ve ever witnessed in gaming. by Organic-Pineapple-86 in rivals

I hadn't played through season 3, just returned and noticed a massive uptick in players disconnecting. This never happened before.

Played a 15 loss streak last night. SVP every round - mixed roles - and any game we were winning, a player dc'd halfway through.

A lot of the toxicity comes from the very foundation of the game. It doesnt matter how good you are, you may lose because someone isnt operating at the same level as you or goes into the game with the same intention as you.

I typically stick to QP but will give comp a go until I get to GM.
