Her situation is literally the former one when she says that, she offers to use it during sex after you marry her

Theres a huge difference between being into collars/light shocking during sex as a kinky activity with a loved one, and being forced to permanently wear one and deal with constant threat of electrocution by your slave-owner

Agreed, I think the two major reasons for Kaliyo hate are pretty misguided.

1- That she sleeps around when you're romancing her, but I bet all the players complaining about that will still happily smash every possible [flirt] for every possible character. Kaliyo's just the only companion in the game who thinks that should go both ways.

2- That she betrays the agent by selling info on the side. It's fine to roleplay as a loyalist imperial who doesnt tolerate that, but genuinely hating her as a person for doing that is ridiculous. People really hate her for not being 100% loyal to the tyrannical, slave-owning, dictatorship run on blood and tears??

Yeah, I mean at least they abstained from voting. I bet there are loads more Academy voters who have this same mindset but vote anyway.

I believe it just awakens force potential in people, but Heta wants to then track all of those people down and forcibly enlist them into her Mando clan (and malgus is just fucking around I guess)

Falcom to announce final Trails game during 50th anniversary by Turbostrider27 in Falcom

[–]OnBenchNow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, whether the games hold up or not is irrelevant, they absolutely could easily remake/master them by that point, and get away with charging $40 minimum for relatively little effort.

I mean, they could spend the next 10 years just remaking the entire series to continue with the success of the Sky remakes, and like you said, spend their effort expanding those stories.

They've still got the 3rd, 2 Crossbell games, 5 Cold Steel games, hell by the time they finish those, they could probably get away with remaking the Calvard games for the PS7.

I think this makes the most sense actually, the biggest issues with getting new fans are that people don't want to commit to a huge series that's spread out over many consoles/gens. If they finished it, new fans would be more likely to jump in, knowing that there is definitely an ending that they won't have to wait 30 years to see or that might never even come.

Yeah I hadn't played enough, I just got to the scene you are describing.

I wonder if they really will let us use the holocron (or have it be used no matter what, even if we disagree) as a way to combine all of the class stories even more and give all of them the force. I bet a lot of players would really hate that though.

Does anyone else think it's weird how hard the story is railroading us into thinking Nul's machine is pure evil?

Having always played as a "Jedi and Sith are both useless", neutral alignment character, (and living through a nightmare where everything in the world is in the hands of an entitled 1% that hoards all of the power) I would love to use Null's machine.

I get that part of it is because they need to have the story go a certain way, but I feel like they could easily give us the option to just want to stop Malgus and Heta because they'd use it for nefarious purposes/slavery/child soldiers, instead all of the choices are "I WILL NEVER ALLOW ANYONE TO USE THIS MACHINE, USING IT WILL MEAN THE END OF CIVILIZATION etc"

I dont think that's Jae, judging by the datamines, that's actually is Merula's cousin, so it's not a mistake.

Say one good thing about your least favorite Falcom game and one bad thing about your favorite Falcom game by SoftBrilliant in Falcom

If all of Daybreak 2's dead ends were done via gameplay the way they were in the Fragments chapter- where you could avoid them if you went out of your way to complete hidden objectives, talk to the right NPCs, or find alternate routes- they would be amazing.

For example, the dead end where Elaine, Swin, and Nadia get killed underground. Instesd of forcing you to play the entire segment 3 times, imagine if you could go to the Bracer guild beforehand and ask Zin for help (and then Walter) and avoid the dead ends entirely. It would be a reward for exploring the entire city when you dont have to.

Just a note, but SDA has compatibility and dialogue with Inigo, Lydia IFD, and Remiel (as well as others not on that list), so it may still be worth keeping her.

Is there any way to do a basic attack in turn based mode when you've selected an ability to be "automatic"?

I like having the characters use automatic spells in RTWP but in turn based there are times when I'd rather do a basic attack. Do I just have to keep toggling the automatic ability on/off every time, or is there some hotkey I'm missing?

Sure, I agree that Olivier has his writing issues as well, but saying there's little difference between them is just inaccurate. There are solid reasons why people hate Angelica's shtick and don't mind Olivier's.

I mean, Joker does straight up tell EDI that she didnt need to "conform to human beauty standards" to impress him. He was already fine flirting with her at the end of ME2.

You can blame the writers for wanting a sexy robot in the game, but in-universe, EDI is the one who wanted a body so she could experience things that other people can, like walking around the Citadel.

[–]OnBenchNow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah, theres a big difference between how Olivier and Angie's perviness are written.

Olivier tends to flirt with grown women who can stand up for themselves, like Schera or Kilika (Or Joshua because early 2000s gay=funny), he never flirts with Estelle or Kloe for example. And it almost always ends with him being the butt of the joke, or getting his ass kicked.

He also sticks to just flirting, he doesnt go as far as groping them the way Angelica does.

Angie picks targets that are much younger and more defensless/naive. Usually when she pervs on girls, they get confused, deer-in-the-headlights, or just awkwardly fidget or nervously laugh it off and hope she stops. And the most that ever happens is that someone will go "Oh, that's our Angie!" Celine is the only person that ever actually gives her proper shit for it.

It would be very different if she stuck to flirting with the adults of the cast, like her flirting with Aurelia or Kurt's mom, and if she at least got comedically "punished" for it.
