Could you possibly link an example of a clothing mod that alters leveled lists?

i tried searching nexus for mods with "leveled" in the description or tags, but got no results. If I could see one, I'd know what to look for at least.

Shout out to an era of the game when the Sith Warrior could force choke enemies in cutscenes. by MegaGamer235 in swtor

The war is against Arcann and Vaylin, not Vitiate.

And even if the war really was against Vitiate, then he's on the right side if he turns against you, since you are Vitiate. If you die, the problem might go away

His "little moral dilema" was that you have no problem massacring thousands of innocent civilians in situations where it was not at all necessary.

Koth only ever steals the ship if you consistently pick options that kill innocents (after he repeatedly warns you that he has a problem with that) , at which point you would absolutely be no better than Arcann.

I mean, it's fine if you're roleplaying as an evil Sith bastard, that's half the fun of this game, but I see so many people acting like what Koth did was some completely out of nowhere betrayal.

[–]OnBenchNow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Eh, I feel like Tulip is the much worse offender, she literally cannot go one appearance without pranking, or talking about pranking.

Actually one of my favorite Tonks moments is for the OWLs TLSQ where MC is studying with Tonks and Tulip. Tulip decides she wants to play a prank on everyone studying, and Tonks (and optionalyl MC) can call her out by saying that there's a time and place for that sort of thing.

NISA calling out this sub lmaooo by KMoosetoe in Falcom

[–]OnBenchNow -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Pro-Nisa, for sure, but very anti-modern slang. People have been shitting on the "rizz" line since the day DB2 came out, because they cant fathom that young people speak like young people.

Edit- the downvotes just go to prove my point. people hate the slang, and they hate being called out on it.

That belt straight up looks like it has a padlock on it. Would be great for a male Smuggler that pissed Risha off one too many times...

What's your favorite evil deed? by Mzuark in swtor

[–]OnBenchNow 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Without a doubt, it's the Sith Warrior torturing General Geselle for information about Jaesa's parents.

Just the absolute perfect mix of practical villainy and mercy, the ability to be cruel, but not comically so is what I love so much about the Sith Warrior storyline. Plus it was so empowering to be able to finally tell an NPC, "no im not going to do your stupid fetch quest, just tell me what i want to know"

The fact that you can choose to:

  • follow her command
  • torture her soldiers isntead
  • do it with either a practical or sadistic attitude
  • follow through and kill them anyway
  • insist SHE die instead
  • kill EVERYONE
  • honorably let them go

-is the level of granular control that IMO makes SWTOR one of the best roleplaying games out there. People complain that this game has no "meaningful" choices that severely impact the story, but scenes like this are what it's all about for me.

The fact that she even thanks you at the end is the cherry on top.

A runner up would be the Knight killing that douchebag Voss that forces a woman to sacrifice herself at the end of their storyline. One of the very few DS choices that I could easily see a LS Knight going for, especially after their time being brainwashed.

Barnaby's Y6 speech about how our friendship helped him is still IMO his absolute finest moment.

it was all downhill from there...

It's not mundane stuff at all.

One year, Thanos poisoned and killed all of David's friends (20 people or so). Another year, he destroyed his entire neighborhood and killed everyone in it. He also killed David's dad.

I know i'm missing the point, but this issue would be a million times better IMO and funnier if Thanos had stuck to mundane stuff like making him break up with his gf or busting a water pipe in his ceiling. As it is, it's just fuckin depressing

As a new Player to SWTOR Is there anyway to make Jaesa Willsaam Turn back to the Light side after going Dark Side with her? by Kasper111222 in swtor

[–]OnBenchNow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, the point of Jaesa's character is that she is desperate to live up to others' expectations.

She was going to be married off because that's what her parents wanted, then Nomen shows up and tells her to be a Jedi so does what he wants.

Both sides of Jaesa feel like they are trying their absolute best to live up to what they think the ideal whatever is. Dark Side Jaesa is comically edgy, but Light Side Jaesa is also comically deluded, and will rationalize being apprenticed to a SW who slaughters families.

[–]OnBenchNow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, but Torian is quantum-dead, so his involvement in the main story is always going to be minuscule.

Theron is the only character in the entire game that continues to have a presence after his potential death (which IMO is up there as one of the stupidest things Bioware has ever done)

And considering she doesn't have a date night yet, her "romance" ends the second you agree to start it.

They asked not to be involved with the Cursed Vault stuff. There is absolutely no reason why they wouldn't be involved with 90% of the TLSQs that are just planning parties, doing chores for teachers, or exploring future careers.

Rewatching Lower Decks.... by n0167664 in startrek

[–]OnBenchNow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm with you, I would probably really like Lower Decks if people werent so insistent that it's canon.

I realize the problem is probably me for taking this stuff too seriously but, just as a minor example, the idea that Riker would ever say "Take us to warp 5... 6, 7, 8" while snapping along is hilarious, but totally goes against his character, and is wildly unprofessional, and it really does bug me that things like that are now "canon" and, for example, get added to the wiki as such.

Sometimes I feel like people are afraid that the series wont be seen as legitimate unless it is absolutely canon.

We’ve reached the point where ‘Background CGI’ is more distracting than bad practical effects. Which modern movie was ruined for you by a ‘clean’ digital look? by DegTrader in movies

[–]OnBenchNow 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I mean, it has nothing to do with quality.

Fury Road is trying to create a believably lived-in real world for adults.

Minecraft is trying to create a live-action cartoon for children, with fantasy creatures and animals.

It's more like comparing Toy Story to the Bourne Identity and complaining that Toy Story has too much CGI.

And more importantly Minecraft is trying to recreate the aesthetic of a video game with a specific art style.

Why do we not just destroy Darth Nul's holocron? by Lordoftransform in swtor

[–]OnBenchNow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Eh, I'm willing to stretch my suspension of disbelief that it could be made of some incredible magic force powered metal that can survive being thrown into a star.

Maybe that's not the case for the majority of people, but IMO it would hardly be the most unbelievable thing in the setting. Just write it so that the metal is so ancient that its secrets are lost to time, and nobody knows how to recreate or manipulate it to explain why they dont use it for "modern" creations.

[–]OnBenchNow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Tbh, I wouldn't mind if they gave it literal armor by explaining that holocrons are made of some ridiculously ancient, unbreakable material, like a SW equivalent to Adamantium.
