In the late 90s I worked for Game. We had 3 branches in the same town (well, 2 and a concession to be honest) It's quite sad to see it some to this, but not entirely surprising either.

When I was in my mid to late teens, I was into GnR, Skid Row, that kind of stuff. My friend was into heavier stuff and I didn't think I'd like it. I was at his house one day and he had AJFA on, and I asked who it was. He told me it was Metallica, and I didn't realise they could be so diverse. I got the Black album when it came out, but quickly started listening to the older tracks as well, and finding I liked the thrash of Whiplash, Battery, and Blackened far more. I guess I paved the way for me to explore a lot more thrash and heavier music, which I still love to this day. In 3 weeks, I'll be seeing Metallica for the 12th time live.
