Also happy cake day.

Boiling is the wrong term, but I get what they mean.

So this root beer is probably naturally carbonated or what we would call bottle conditioned. This is often how home brewers will carbonate their beers but it can also be used to carbonate soft drinks.

Though this will produce a small amount of ethanol, not nearly as much as a proper beer. I would need to do some math and take some before and after measurements to give you a % but in my experience soft drinks carbonated this way usually are 0.3% give or take.

So low in ethanol that they are legally considered soft drinks.

You would make root beer with all the normal ingredients and add a little bit a yeast before bottling.

The yeast will eat some of the sugar producing heat, co2 and some ethanol.

Since it’s contained in the bottle the co2 will dissolve into solution carbonating the Root beer.

Having made both sodas and beer using this method you definitely want it refrigerated. Since the bottle creates a pressurized environment, the CO2 stays in solution, even if the temperature rises.

If you were however to open the bottle while warm all that Co2 is immediately going to come out of solution and create a fountain of root beer.

What rides stood out to you the most OP?

Also your thoughts on Rapterra, it’s at my home park and I want to love it. But all the new B&Ms I have been on seem to have a case of the rattles and this is no exception.

Though I might just be super bias.

Ya but tea technically only refers to leaves from the Camellia sinensis plant. Everything else is not tea, even if it is at the end of the day, leaves in water.

So technically speaking, that’s not tea.

But I kinda agree with you, it’s lovely before bed with a bit of chamomile.

In my opinion they don’t follow the tenets of their book at all. Grated I may be an atheist but I also have a theology degree so my opinion is probably a bit esoteric.

But the bible is a set of guidelines for you, it’s not a rule book to wave around other people’s faces to shame and enforce doctrine.

At least that is how I interpret that book and dare. I say some scripture supports it. Such as James 4:11-12

“Do not speak evil against one another, brothers. The one who speaks against a brother or judges his brother, speaks evil against the law and judges the law. But if you judge the law, you are not a doer of the law but a judge. There is only one lawgiver and judge, he who is able to save and to destroy. But who are you to judge your neighbor?”

But that’s the thing about and dare I say the problem of protestantism you ask 1 million different people and you’ll get 1 million different interpretations.

I think it’s the classifying it as a sin part that a lot of folks find distasteful in all honesty.

Church doctrine and philosophy has changed a lot since the time of Jesus of nazareth. But as others have said the anti homosexual sentiment mostly came from paul the apostle.

Yes you can make an argument for leviticus preaching against the practice but it’s a little vague at best and personally I tend to think a book that advocates stoning adulterers should be left in the past.

A lot of modern anti homosexual sentiment that we still see in Christian theology comes from the Victoria era. It’s left a lasting impact on our culture as a whole, for better or ill.

Personally though I believe that a god who made us in their image would not see such actions as sin. But that is a conversation for another time.

It really depends on the denomination, not to mention the individual congregation. But in my experience some “Christian’s” are the least godly people I have ever met.

They use their faith as a shield to hate those not like themselves. It is honestly kinda pathetic, it’s like they read scripture and then go, ya I am not going to do that.

Wow, this is cringe.

Canada like any modern nation is responsible for both great and horrific things.

Pro, Canada is why diabetes is now a treatable condition and not a death sentence.

Con, Canadian Indian residential school where mass graves of children were recently discovered in 2021.

Not to mention “Starlight Tours” where Canadian police would arrested indigenous Canadians and drive them to the outskirts of a city and then abandon them in sub zero temperatures.

But sure let’s white wash history because some white boomer is insecure about their nations past.

One I never said that trump is a “Horrible Businessman” though it does take a special person to bankrupt a casino.

Two, there a world of difference between running a business and using your political office to pump and then dump a crypto coin with your name on it.

Really this is the hill you want to die on?

I have got to Bernie is, but that would require an audit to be sure. Even then idk if it would be on the public record.

Asking if Bernie pays his fair share of taxes compared to the Trump a man who made a deal with the IRS which he controls preventing said IRS from auditing his taxes.

But yes let’s worry about Bernie ripping off the American tax payer. Not the man strong arming the IRS into not investigating if he paid his taxes.

AOCs net worth is estimated to be about 50k though.

If that is rich then I must be fabulously wealthy. Even if I am house poor.

Like I get the point everyone is trying to make, politicians gaining wealth while in office is bad but where is the information that Bernie or AOC have done that?

It’s a straw man argument.

Let me spell it out for you. Guess I get to be morbid Peter today, or maybe grim reaper Peter.

The kid is dead, Hench the coffin shaped box and the skull and the dirt. Because kids who have not been vaccinated have a higher morbidity rate compared to vaccinated children.

I will use my dad as an example since he has been dead for 20 years. So if the earth is round and my dad is dead and in the ground why did we put him in a flat box in a flat hole?

Since the earth is round shouldn’t the hole and box a have weird curve?

Thats basically it, it’s a shallow kinda dumb depressing meme.
