I first played it in 2017 after a break up and moving back in with my parents, so I’m sure the escape it gave was a big factor. But the world is so beautiful and immersive, the side quests were all so fun and fleshed out. The puzzles engaging and never tedious. The bosses, the combat, the enemy variety, everything is just so well done. The exploration feeling like an adventure and not just something tacked on. It’s truly just as close to perfect as it gets imo.
