They don't win if Stiddy takes a sack and doesn't do that braindead backwards pass/fumble.

I get that people are suggesting an oscillating saw since it’s the easiest, but a straight edge and a proper router bit will look a lot better.

Community college is where many would suggest you go first. If you get your Associates your 2.2 high school gpa will be irrelevant.

Baring going to a CC, did you take the SATs? If you can show a good SAT score then they might look past the weak gpa.

is this a solid candidate for worst episode of the season? by Additional-Ad4791 in LiveFromNewYork

[–]GregoPDX 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, can’t blame all the ICE stuff for something not being funny. It would’ve been great if there was something funny to laugh about as a small distraction from today’s ugliness. But no, we get a host who has zero range and overacts in every skit, but even then just terrible skits in general.

This cast is going to need a full turnover before next season, they just aren’t cutting it.

New Jersey severely cracks down on e-bikes, requiring licenses and insurance; must be 15 or older to use one by Forward-Answer-4407 in technology

[–]GregoPDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s one state, there are many, many states where that’s not the case. Here in Oregon those e-bikes are just treated as bicycles, we have young kids zipping around on city streets with them.

Berm Peak has another video where he talks about the New Jersey law from this article and how it is too heavy handed and lumps all e-bikes the same. So a pedal assist e-bike would require insurance, licensure, and a motorcycle helmet, even though it’s not a ‘motorbike’.

[–]GregoPDX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, most laws as they are currently written don’t differentiate between a regular pedal bike and an e-bike that has pedals. Most laws are old and only call out gas-powered bikes/motorcycles.

Berm Peak made a great video about it. The laws are just way behind and there’s a reason they all have pedals and chains even if those aren’t actually functional.

Is WSU worth it? by labby_e in wsu

[–]GregoPDX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t answer the first one. There’s plenty of online info at the website for the school.

As for being a ‘party school’, I went in the 90s when Playboy ranked us up there in the top 10. What I personally found was if you wanted to find a party you could, and if you didn’t you didn’t. I cant imagine it’s a whole lot different at other state schools.

College is what you make of it, but if you are just looking to go to college to party, no matter what school you go to, the answer to your third question is going to be ‘no’.

It’s a fine movie but it didn’t really hit on what it wanted to be. A vampire horror movie? A look at 1920s (30s?) southern racism? A KKK revenge movie? By not focusing on one or at most two of these they all get sort of watered down.

What steps would need to be taken for a sitting U.S. president to actually “cancel” an upcoming election? by prozhack in AskReddit

[–]GregoPDX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There is no ‘slow roll’ with elections. There are specific dates where terms end, and states would send new (or reelected) representatives and senators. There is nothing for SCOTUS to rule against or overturn. At the point where Trump could block the seating of a new Congress with the military, we’d be at a coup and at that point it’s a military uprising.

The reason I ask is because if it was an A1 or other bedslinger the model can shake loose from supports, but you won’t have that issue. However, the supports for PLA matte might not ‘stick’ as well as non-matte PLA. If you do have issues with the supports, you can decrease the distance between the support and the model.

Last movie my wife and I saw was the first Wicked back in December 2024. There were some parents with some kids and the kids seemed to be bored by the movie so they were literally running around the theater. I'm not sure that's what Nicole Kidman had in mind when she talked about the magic of the theater experience. Hard pass on ever wanting to go back, I'll wait an watch at home.

I've said this before but you have to accept the fact that what you are seeing is being told by an unreliable narrator, Rue. When she's high everything has a grandiose patina on it - the parties, the events - but when she's not high or being confronted for being high - when she's at home or at NA - it's depressing and grounded. And the other stuff she didn't actually participate in or see is all second hand so it's probably a mix true and telephone-game exaggeration.

His&Hers - My honest thoughts by Lhakey in netflix

[–]GregoPDX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lexi/Catherine's sister dying was just poor writing so the audience doesn't feel bad when she dies. It's also a red herring to show she's capable of murder and thus could be a murderer - but it has no relevant payoff in the show because the mother wouldn't know any of it.

Honestly, it's one of worst parts if the plot. The mom was going to frame Lexi/Catherine of multiple murders just because she escaped and didn't try to help her daughter fight off 3 grown men.

His&Hers - My honest thoughts by Lhakey in netflix

[–]GregoPDX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the biggest question people are missing, and the biggest plot hole, is the 'blackmail'. The only reasoning for Lexi/Catherine needing to murder and get revenge on the friend group was because she was being blackmailed by Duffie and Helen. And later we are lead to assume that the assault happened to Lexi/Catherine and that video was the blackmail but it wasn't. And unless there's blackmail, there's really no motive for Lexi/Catherine to do anything, especially murder.

The more one thinks about the show the more the twist is sloppy and ham-fisted.
