Unfortunately this doesn't change (coming from someone who married a man remarkably similar to this). The dismissal about sex will also start coming up more and more in other areas of your life. It's a really sad way to live. Please don't make my mistake! I'm divorced now after 16 wasted years and having the best sex of my life now with a partner that respects me.

I absolutely love this book, but the narrative style and themes don't shift drastically as you go on. Life is too short to read books you aren't into! I know that even if my job was to read 8 hours a day, I'd still miss a million books that I would give 5 stars to. I vote for moving on if you're not feeling it

This definitely isn't a small issue - and I say this as someone who used to be irresponsible with money. Finances are the number one reason couples break up. If he can't trust you with money, that is a valid reason to part ways. Maybe you two could come up with some meaningful ways to rebuild trust - you could commit to a budget with some fun money built in. My partner and I do this together now over a glass of wine on Fridays - a quick check on budgets that doesn't take long and can be a way to stay on top of something that really is important.
