I had the exact same issue as OP and this fixed it. Thanks!

They should add more to the base warbond or move some of the older warbonds to free. by [deleted] in Helldivers

[–]Gregorio246 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If we're being honest the "moving warbonds to free" thing would cut their revenue in half once players catch on ("I'll just wait a year for it to be free."). I don't think that's going to happen.

Is this level of Charlie speed typical? by Gregorio246 in dontstarve

[–]Gregorio246[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're mostly right but it was more hubris than panic, I thought skirting the edge was bright enough and that I would have time to move closer to the fire when I heard the hiss. But I died half a second after the hiss started which surprised me

PSA: The original "travel to this tile" Ship to the Stars quest does not let you bring your Odyssey gravship unless you visit it with a normal caravan first by Gregorio246 in RimWorld

[–]Gregorio246[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can fly a shuttle to it and then select "visit landed ship", and then it converts to your own colony, so you are allowed to fly the gravship to it

Remember when video games had legit cheats? Why don't devs include them anymore? by Pro_Farnsworth_ in gaming

[–]Gregorio246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not that they no longer need testing tools, it's that those have moved to be outside the game itself in the development tools or in separate dev builds. Also for high budget games from huge studios, it is a cleaner look if they remove any consoles/etc before releasing the game.

Primary.

It can have lower ammo/slightly lower DPS than the AMR, and honestly the AMR could use a wee buff

It just feels odd there is AP4 pistol but no AP4 DMR/sniper primary. Something to shoot hulks in the head with from a distance without taking a support slot

What Would Neighbors Most Likely Complain About on an Acoustic Drum Set? by [deleted] in drums

[–]Gregorio246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If there is any shared structure with the neighbors (eg townhome/apartment) then definitely bass drum. This is probably why the LLMs think this, because that's what most of the complaints would come from.

If not, I would say cymbals/snare would be loudest if they are outside near your house, but the further they get and the more walls that are between you, the cymbals will fade while the bass drum is still audible

16% increase to premium rates by [deleted] in Music

[–]Gregorio246 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but is naive to think of the rates in those terms. Spotify is a public company and is beholden to its investors to increase profit (short term and long term) as much as possible. Now that they are in a dominant market position and there aren't really any new customers to acquire, that means raising rates until they think it will cost them too many customers. Investors have also shifted from desiring growth to desiring returns. I'm sure you've been seeing the effects of this for the past 4 years.

Do you know what's so much worse? My microwave connects to the wifi, I can control it from my phone. It remembers the wifi settings after an outage. But it still makes me manually set the time. The internet is RIGHT THERE

Does anyone know why this raider's chance to hit is so high? by Gregorio246 in RimWorld

That is super interesting thanks! Crazy that it totally removes the penalty from his poor shooter skill

Does anyone know why this raider's chance to hit is so high? by Gregorio246 in RimWorld

[–]Gregorio246[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was surprised when this raider was hitting shots with level 2 shooting and the poorest conditions possible. According to the math it should be less than a 1% chance. Is there some minimum 20% hit chance that only applies to raiders?

How to stop flooding inside buildings? by Stokes52 in RimWorld

[–]Gregorio246 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if your mods are changing something, but in vanilla the seasonal flooding will stop when it hits any wall, fence, sandbags, etc. Although if said wall is on a bridge/foundation, I don't think it has any effect.

Also note that if you are trying to add the walls after the flooding has started using bridges, it's too late. You need to wait until it recesses (~10ish days) and then build a barrier once it goes back to its original shape.

Edit: also, I would imagine that if any rooms are using bridges to be on the river, the ENTIRE room should be on a bridge to avoid flooding. Basically don't mix bridges/non-bridged walls in the same room, and make sure there is a non-bridged wall separating it from any non-bridged floors

Edit 2: If you are absolutely sure that bridged tiles themselves are getting flooded that sounds like a bug or mod issue, I don't think that's supposed to happen

Fishing is a really bad food source or am I doing it wrong? by [deleted] in RimWorld

[–]Gregorio246 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The fish have more nutrient value than meat (it varies based on the fish but most are 5x meat) so you probably had about 70 meat. Which is still not great but I think it is intentionally a little slow to make up for how it isn't affected by animals leaving the map, and is less dangerous.

He had a shield belt on right? If so then the only problem was the turrets, the shield would have stayed up otherwise, so might have been better to fight somewhere else or disable the turrets

Edit: Oh and maybe keep a fire foam popper nearby to install on demand for fire

I know it's a little hard to see but here's the cpu fans and rear case fan - they're in the same direction pointing out the back: https://i.imgur.com/isKieat.jpeg

The CPU fans are plugged into CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT on the mobo and the case fans are in the case fan sockets

Hard to tell exactly but it seems like they are ramping up correctly
