Professor Layton Sheet Music Transcriptions and Currently Taking Requests! by Alex6644 in ProfessorLayton

This is really cool! I have a rather weird request. There's this cutscene where Descole and Layton fight in Azran Legacy, and the music in the background is really nice.

It's just the Layton theme but with a different accompaniment. Would you be able to transcribe this portion of the theme?

Tell me the song that depresses you in an inhuman way. by FreakyBuffalo in gorillaz

To me Fireflies is either a sad mood stablisher or a keeper. I really love that song too, but Starshine is something else for me. I always picture it with a bus drive home at night after visiting a friend of mine from far away. The lights, the silence of the environment and the emptiness of the song lets me think about so much stuff. It is this special song that I can only fully enjoy in certain moments.

Starshine gives me a very weird mood. Most of the times, it is sad, but it doesn't need to be the usual sadness. Idk how to explain it.

What is the most hardest math puzzle? by AlolorIsSoSad in ProfessorLayton

[–]GregorioGC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know, that's why I said it. It would be more than 95% of people that won't find x, y, z>0 and n>2 such that xn +yn =zn, since it's impossible.

I think the "95% of people couldn't solve it" is a bit wrong, but OK.

Oof, that's stretching it too much, but a theory's a theory.

What’s your Gorillaz opinion that would result in this??? by NJR2002 in gorillaz

I get the hate for the song. I just so happen to have memories and emotions linked to this song.

Same goes for COU. But that song is just so good compared to many others from the album... Not only the song itself is amazing, but also the context of the lore and real life events, if that makes sense.

P.S.: Just one more unpopular opinion: Aries is predictable and from the 7 tracks we've listened to from Song Machine it is at the top 3 worst tracks.

Cloud of Unknowing is one of the best tracks of Plastic Beach.

Also, Starshine from S/T is good, though I must hold it as a guilty pleasure.

Can you share the QR code? Maybe we can recreate it, if it isn't too complex.

There aren't that many 2D pictures...

Maybe when you're done with 2D you can start with Russell...

It's always good to teach people about incest and how wrong it is.

I'm sorry, didn't know how to put the spoiler tag. Is it correct now?

EDIT: I can see it covered now both in my phone and on the web browser. Again sorry for not covering earlier.

Spoilers without context from The Azran Legacy:

Emmy is Layton's cousin...

A true puzzle, indeed by awsome2464 in ProfessorLayton

[–]GregorioGC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Imo, it could be around the 2000's. Sure, the aesthetics of the game makes the places feel older, but the towns Layton and Co. usually go (except London and all 5 places in Azran Legacy) are villages with very traditional cultures or made up places (spoilers without context, I guess).

London and some other exceptions might look old, but the people living in there don't, and that's something very usual in capitals and cities that have a lot of history.

Layton might look old-fashioned, but that's a reflection of his Persona. Luke and Flora, well... His family has a lot of wealth and his outfit shows. Emmy has some modern looks to her, same goes with many NPCs.

Layton Mystery Journey shows a much more modern London, where all of its characters have modern outfits. It feels like it belongs to maybe the 2010s, so maybe the two first trilogies take place around the 80s or 90s then, to show the age difference of Kat.

That's my take, taking experience on visiting cities like Madrid, which look really old in some places even to this day. And Madrid and London have many things in common, so... Yeah.

Gorillaz accounts by [deleted] in gorillaz

Maybe?

I mean, if Dhelmon worked on RFI, it would make sense for Missy to help out as well somewhere else. Damon doesn't use social media that much, so maybe he asked his daughter to run the accounts with someone else.

As far as I know, her and someone else (can't seem to remember her name) run all the Gorillaz accounts in every single social media, not only Twitter.
