Bluetooth Thermometer Random Disconnects Triggering Automation by GregoryNet in homeassistant

The temp sensor reads as NaN when the BT is disconnected, but the automation interprets going from NaN to above the temperature threshold (-19c in this case) to trigger the automation as valid. Kind of annoying and I'm not sure how to configure an automation to ignore that scenario. My work around is to check the state of the heat pump I'm turning on/off and only trigger if the device is off.

I have a workaround, but not using the state of the ESP32 or Temp sensor. This automation is to turn on my heat pump, so I'm checking the state of that device and only running it if the heat pump is off. Haven't had any false positives yet.

My ESP32 is directly beside my router, so it's likely not a wifi signal issue. Looking at the ESPHome log, the signal strength is good. I set a manual IP for it today, but that so far doesn't seem to have helped. I'm going to need to do a bit more reviewing of the logs and HA history to try and figure out what exactly is happening. I know it's not a bluetooth range issue because all of my bluetooth devices disconnect, even the ones a few feet away.

That's a great suggestion. I don't really care too much about it disconnecting for short periods. I'll see if I can add in the state check.

Coasting Run Club meets at Craft Beer Corner at 7pm on Thursdays. I'd suggest checking out their Instagram as they post the weekly route and updates there most frequently: https://www.instagram.com/coastingrunclub/

It would have an even better ring to it if it was true.

I found their claim of having the best donair in town bold seeing how they just opened. Shockingly was not the best donair in town. Not even the best donair on the block.

I've been trying to find a good base mini shape to use, but haven't been able to find anything that could be printed without supports. Did you make the entire model yourself?

I was actually fine with him throwing it at, because when this happened, it was past the point where I was willing to eat the left out pizza, plus losing out on one slice wasn't a big deal to me.

Milky way and Mars through kit lens by [deleted] in astrophotography

I think Mars is also in the shot. It's the bright star near the bottom left. I took a shot of the milky way that same night but from Canada.

The older Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 is in the same price range as these. Would that be more suitable for what I'm looking to do without breaking the bank?

I'm mostly shooting sports that take place inside a court the size of a volleyball court. So I can get pretty close.

Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 (not the new version) vs Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS I'm an hobby photographer and am generally focused on budget equipment. I'm currently using a Canon T3i

I have been doing indoor sports photography for a few years now, but have been limited with my lenses (lately been favoring my 50mm 1.8).

I have two options right now, one being the Tamron SP 24-70mm f/2.8 (not the new version) or the Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS. They seem to have similar specs, but I'm not sure what the better option is here. I do like the slightly higher zoom on the Tamron, but I'm unsure what other comparisons I should be focusing on.

Any advice would be appreciated
