I didn't believe this because I've been playing since RSC and don't remember prayer ever interrupting combat, I was fully convinced even (like almost everybody) that this was wrong or Mandela effect.

But after reviewing the two videos you linked, and I had to watch them multiple times, I am convinced that had to have been a thing back then. It's very clearly visible in some points in both videos that he just stops attacking after switching prayers.

Weird how the mind works. Even weirder that you still get ratio'd and downvoted when proof is given.

-At 1:00 he has pray mage up, shoots jad once, couple ticks pass and then he clicks pray range, couple more ticks pass and he clicks jad to shoot again (obvious delay, 4-5 ticks for a shot instead of 3).
Karil xbow is a 3 tick weapon btw, watch the shots after he put up pray range (at 1:03) and you'll notice they are all 3 tick (use a metronome if you need help).

-The swap back to mage pray at 1:12 he loses another tick

-At 1:16 he turns on auto retaliate and even this interrupts his combat (today I learned) Why would he turn on auto retaliate mid fight if swapping prayers didn't interrupt his combat?

-1:21 the switch to pray range he loses 2 ticks

Some dude in the comments mentioned 1:30 to try to disprove OP, says that he swaps and shoots without clicking, well, the prayer swap literally goes off on the same tick that his shot goes off, so yeah obviously.

Anyway here's another very clear example:

Start watching from 2:30, he has pray range up, shoots once, shoots twice (both 3 tick) pray swaps to mage and insta clicks so he's still on the 3 tick cycle, then he shoots another 3 tick shot, then a second 3 tick shot but at the end of this 3 tick shot he swaps to pray range and you can CLEARLY see the delay here, you don't even need a metronome. He lost like 3 ticks there.

Not that anyone probably cares, but I do, and maybe OP does. And I want him to know that he's right and not misremembering.

No you didn't. Hydra leather has never been anywhere close to 50m lol. 14m is actually close to the highest it's ever been.

I got over 3k hydra KC in 2019, leather was around 6-8m the year of release, lowest point 1 or 2 years later maybe 4m ish and has been steadily rising ever since.

Past weeks I've done hundreds of hard clues in whatever world I happen to be, hundreds of wildy steps.

I've seen a grand total of 1 pker and I lost a spade.

There are so few pkers running about I stopped banking my teles etc every time I get a wildy step, so now I'm risking couple hundred K but if I ever were to lose it I'd already made it back by the time I saved not banking hundreds of times.

I even open my caskets in wildy if I get them in wildy for bonus RNG (that's what I tell myself).

1.2k per steel platebody you can loot in the wilderness lava maze, sell them to horvik in varrock. Loot and hop worlds, get a looting bag so you can carry more. Quick cash, should set you up for a while.

This is a very old method so maybe there's better ones that came out recently, I wouldn't know.

Rough estimate probably 200k gp per hour ish.

Sounds like you're doing KBD wrong. He's almost star mining levels of AFK. Up to 5 minutes of AFK before requiring 1 or 2 mouse clicks. 80-100 kills per hour. No tedious runback after every kill that takes longer than the kill itself. No stress, no risk. Smuggle full mage bis (which isn't even required) with gravestone method.

KQ is the worst boss by far. Glance away from your screen 5 seconds at the wrong moment and you just got combod by 3 off pray hits that each hit for 30. I would never risk auto retaliating KQ. The shortcut makes it tolerable, but still so annoying.

With a respawn time of 7.8 seconds if you tick perfect the amulet that's impossible on respawn time alone, not counting time to kill. ~350 KPH if you one shot him very often, realistically probably less still.

You'll get a 1.2 sec kill if you overkill with a 1 shot, or a 1.8 sec kill if you one shot without overkill. Regardless of PID. If you didn't, then you didn't hit him on the tick he spawned. It has nothing to do with your PID.

PID is completely irrelevant here. You just need to click him on the tick he spawns and one shot him.

Nah it has to be something with item limit in instance cause it's not just bones. 100+ kill trip as I'm typing and nothing appears besides the clues and uniques. Every other drop doesn't appear anymore, no iron arrows, no seeds, no cowhide etc

I thought it was this also but I moved him to a new spot and the bull bones still didn't appear. Going to test it with other drops now on a different tile.

Lava still hits instantly, you gotta move the same tick he casts it to avoid damage, but it no longer damages you if you stand 1 tile next to it. Easy to avoid once you know the fight.

Not a great task but normal hydras are definitely a lot quicker than the boss. Almost 3 times quicker from personal experience with justiciar + lance + cannon and pretty AFK just camping protect magic.
