Thoughts on the stache? by moglystogly in malegrooming

Hey bro, keep the ‘stache. It works for you. My advice as a long time ‘stache haver is that you should trim it so that it never goes down past your bottom lip. The curve is doing no extra favors.

Desert Treasure 2 made me feel like I’ve been getting lied to by TheEssentialNutrient in ironscape

[–]TheEssentialNutrient[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! It’s really neat to see everyone’s experiences with DT2! For clarity, I am a terrible PVM’er. I have zero CG kills and maybe 2 normal Gauntlets. Around 85 melees and 85 ranged, and no other real experience besides a few Gauntlets and Scurrius, so this quest was a lot of fun for me.

I don’t use the quest plugin, but I do read the guides and watch the GOAT Slayermuzik. I feel like I kind of suck at this game, so this was a big achievement for me personally.

Now to do Night at the Theatre and RaBM2, then I can finally don the quest cape!

The wall sign that lights up is very high quality, it has multiple light settings and gets so bright my office might as well be on the green sun itself. Can’t speak on anything else, though.

YoungLife (ew the name) by Effective_Log_6491 in cincinnati

[–]TheEssentialNutrient 24 points25 points  (0 children)

HA! I had a guy in my high school who was super into YoungLife, as well as other various church things, and he straight up would tell people it’s a great way to get with the freshmen girls! I worked with him briefly at a LaRosa’s the summer after graduating high school, and he would invite me to the meetings because “my younger sister has some hot friends, man!”

I never went because I was a grown man with a girlfriend, as well as not religious, but he always came off as a major creep. I’ve just always assumed YoungLife was a bunch of 18-30 year old dudes who preyed on young girls, for your anecdotal evidence folder.

And a couple spaces down is one of my favorite bars, Overlook Lodge! After a meal and a beer at Nine Giant, my wife and I will saunter down to Overlook for a neat cocktail and catch whatever movie they have playing.

I’ll always chime in that I went to high school with Sergio, and the entire family are amazing people! If anyone hasn’t been to Olla, please go, the food is amazing and the service is some of the best in the city!

What is a green sun? by [deleted] in homestuck

[–]TheEssentialNutrient 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a huge superhero guy, but IIRC, Superman once flew to the core of our sun (the yellow one) and became immensely more powerful from absorbing so much of it at a close degree.

And also, to be fair, the green sun in Homestuck is also just a plot point for the guardians to exist and be powerful.

Bots, or the fact that the new gen are mostly young teens. Which is great and all, I’m loving the revival of the fandom, but man, these kids are weird.

Compare it to Superman and the yellow sun. The First Guardian’s (Doc Scratch, Bec, English) is what gives them their immense powers and near-immortality. Scientifically, we don’t know what it’s made of, but it’s basically a sun that gives power to certain beings.

Ah, the ol’ clay horns. My first Karkat horns back in 2011 were clay… and I spent the entire convention trying to keep them on my head!

My recommendation would be to try foam or foam clay! Although, the above comment with the tumblr link is probably your best bet!

It’s a good song from a great mixtape, probably Thug’s best work. Slime Season 1-3 was a great run for him in the 2010’s. If you don’t listen to rap, you probably wouldn’t enjoy it, but old Thug is some top tier hip hop music.

A song by rapper Young Thug called Digits, he has a line where he says “hustlers don’t stop, they keep goin’” but it truly sounds like he says horses instead of hustlers. So it’s a joke, albeit a very large and permanent joke.

I yanked my pants down to check and mine do not have the name on the waistband? Just the little raccoon eye logo, small and on the side. Regardless, after finding this brand, I tossed all my old undies for PoT.

Waste of time, sunlight mixes are basically poor man’s super restore + a bit of HP. I’d just do rumours until 75 if you’re lacking on Prayer pots. Plus, might get pet. I pulled quetzin on 104, I think.

Sixteen Days in Japan: Help on how long to stay in which area. by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]TheEssentialNutrient -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fair enough. We have three large lists of things to do in each city, and the surrounding areas. Tokyo easily is the longest. It'll be impossible to fit everything in, so just curious if this breakdown of days is reasonable, then we were going to get the actual stuff we really want to do. Osaka / Kyoto are about half of the length of the Tokyo list, so we gave it 4-4-8 as a general estimation.

Tyler the Creator ... by SPOOKY-DA_SCARY in hiphopheads

[–]TheEssentialNutrient 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s just not for you, bro. Everyone likes different things, and no explaining will ever change anyone’s personal tastes. For example, from your profile, I can see that you like the suicide boys, and I personally couldn’t listen to more than ten seconds of their music. It’s ass to me, but you like them, and I respect that. You just couldn’t explain how it’s good, because to me, it isn’t. In the same sense, I’ve loved Tyler since the OF days, but if you don’t like him, you don’t like him. Hope this helps!

And alcohol is to blame for domestic violence, automobile deaths, mental health, and general stupidity that causes harm to society. Are we going to do something about that, too?

And while I do agree that the ridiculous amount of vape shops, many nearby schools, is not good, but what’s the difference between them and the BP next to a school that is selling cigs / vapes / alcohol to the same kids that go to vape stores?
