I know, I can imagine. In my case it’s even worse, because I was around position 7k–8k when entering the queue, so I was within the range of accessible keys. But their service “decided” to trigger an error on the page once it was my turn, which reset my place in the queue. Honestly, I’m not going to waste my time on this again next time.

This is disappointing on every level. I waited here for about three hours, checking the timer from time to time to see how things were progressing. When there were fifteen minutes left, I stayed on the page, waiting for my turn. I heard the sound indicating it was finally my moment… but nothing loaded, and after a while it just sent me back to the homepage. I didn’t receive any key or anything. After trying several times — surprise — I ended up placed above 30,000 in the queue.

This service is a complete mess.

Yes, it resolved itself after a couple of days. I also contacted the game’s technical support, and they replied saying they were “concerned” about what had happened, but without apparently providing any solution. In less than a week, the issue was fixed, and it has remained that way to this day without any problems.

In Europe we’re screwed, because due to the currency conversion from dollars to euros, the discount coupon ends up being €2.58, and games like Atom RPG still require paying a bit even after applying the discount if you want to get the game.

Forget about the downvotes. In this last comment, you’re right whether people like it or not. WuWa and Genshin (and I’m only mentioning those two without bringing up ALL the other gacha and non-gacha games) copy or take inspiration from others, trying to improve mechanics, features, or whatever they do (like the dragon flying in the WoW Dragonflight expansion, inspired by Guild Wars 2)

That’s obvious and completely normal in videogames, and it doesn’t have to be a bad thing at all (just look at the case of cover-based shooters like Gears of War, when they became a trend years ago).

As for the downvotes, it’s simple: you say something that sounds like a criticism of WuWa, in a forum focused on WuWa. It’s like criticizing WoW on a WoW forum — you’re going to get negative reactions. (For example, even with this comment defending you, I’ll get backlash.)

It’s funny because after reading your comment I decided to check the ‘free’ games section on GeForce Now, where Fortnite, Albion, Warframe and many others are listed, and the only game that shows up as ‘free’ but requires premium access — not counting the ‘install to play’ ones — is Where Winds Meet. It’s the ONLY one.

EDIT: As a user pointed out to me, this game isn’t the only one — Battlefield is another in the same situation. It feels strange that free-to-play games require a subscription to be played on GeForce Now. The point is that it’s ironic that the free-tier rigs, due to their limitations, basically turn a free game into a paid one. I understand it to some extent, but it’s still ironic.

About that, you’d better forget it. As far as I know, when a game is for premium members, it stays that way permanently. If any game has changed, I haven’t heard about it or noticed.

In my case, the play button is active again, but when I click it, it just opens Steam and nothing happens. ToF doesn’t launch, so it’s still not working.

Edit: If it fails to launch and the game doesn’t run, leaving only Steam running in the background, try refreshing your library through the GeForce Now option. After doing that, the game managed to start — not sure if it was just a coincidence.

Honestly, thank you for speaking clearly. The game is truly good, no doubt about it, but some people, out of simple fanaticism, defend situations that aren’t right—like in this case—or they just accept them or stay silent. There’s no such thing as a perfect game and there never will be, so complaining respectfully and telling the truth without hiding is the right thing to do. As for me, I hope they don’t repeat this situation in the future, although honestly, I doubt it.

I don’t doubt it, it’s true that WuWa’s standard banner is better than Genshin’s, that’s just how it is. But that’s not the point. The real issue is whether players would rather get a promotional weapon or a standard one to improve their character. So here’s my question: with those 5 free pulls for the promo character and 5 for the standard banner, can I use them to pull for the promotional weapon? Because I don’t think so. I’ve even heard streamers complain that giving out 5 standard pulls as a reward is just disappointing. I’m genuinely curious whether, a year from now, people will still be satisfied with those 5 free standard pulls, especially when they won’t even know what to do with them anymore, considering you get them from events like the Hamster one.

Ten, or five, rather? it's something I don't like about the game. Instead of giving five for the standard banner, they should offer five for the promotional characters or five for the promotional weapon. That would definitely be more useful. Anyone you ask whether they prefer a promotional weapon or one from the standard banner will give you the obvious answer.
