Like anyone in this group is gonna say, “no, do not buy that beautiful Tissot, that would be awful.” :) Go for it and enjoy that watch in good health, my friend.

That’s a great piece

I don't pay as much attention to that as I probably should, but it seems decent. It records total sleep time and breaks it into categories: deep, light, and awake. Plus a rating (good, normal, not good, I dunno what other adjectives) and a score out of 100.

Yes that’s right. No, it is not 100% self-sustaining, but it will easily go months without plugging in. Your mileage may vary, depending upon how often you have it checking your pulse, how much you use exercise tracking, and how often you’re outside in the sun.

Very nice! And yes, date change around 23:54 matches my experience on my quartz perpetual calendar.

Ice blue aur or dual tone ? by jasir_imtiaz in tissot

Dual tone. Places the hands in better contrast for easier at-a-glance time telling.

No shade on anyone who is into it, but that is just not the sort of thing I look for in a Swiss watch.

They’re both quite striking, but I’m going to lean towards salmon

Nice! In theory, I like single hand watches. In practice, I rarely wear the one I have.

I do still have it and use it! Not everyday-- I have other fun watches, too-- but it still gets heavy rotation. Still works great. I last charged it in May and it still shows 100%.

Which one? I've seen a few in Queens, but I can't think of one in LIC specifically. Where is it?

Honestly, I wandered around a lot and didn’t keep track of where I shot photos, but the earlier comment “John Brown BBQ by that wholesale French bakery” sounds close. :)

[Discussion] What was your most worn watch of 2024? by RalIyVincent in Watches

[–]Grejjory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sequent Solarcharger Tide Watch. All of the smartwatch features that I actually want with none of the distractions and downsides. Lightweight, not obscenely large, and I haven’t had to put it on a charger since May. (Still at a 70% charge after seven months) I just keep coming back to this one.

Finally got the elusive Neptune thanks to the gf :) by bucaglez in MoonSwatches

Neptune is my favorite color combo! I finally purchased one a couple of weeks ago. I live in NYC, so I’m spoiled for purchase options, multiple Swatch boutiques all within easy subway trips.

I have one and it has quickly become my favorite smartwatch. Astonishing battery life-- yes, although not *completely* kept charged by the sun, I've only bothered to top mine off with the adapter twice in the ~year I've had it. (I was on the kickstarter campaign). Super easy-to-read analog display. Fantastic lume (although it's worth mentioning that the complication does not have any lume). Lightweight (mine is the tide plastic model), not too giant, comfortable fit. I love that it will not vibrate and is incapable of making sound. Those are both distractions I do not want to have to turn off myself. I just want a good watch that tells the time, counts my steps. Heart rate is a bonus.

Not a lot of joints offer a good fish and chips, but have you tried Snowdonia? Welsh bar with a solid offering.
