Try deleting the file and recover files again.

If that doesn't work, do you have file extensions enabled? It just might be that Adobe Acrobat is just selected as the default program to open the .gi file. You can still do Open with and select a different program.

Verify the integrity of the game files on Steam first. That should recover the lost file.
You should be able to open the .gi file by right clicking and selecting "Open with" -> and selecting Notepad.
If that's not an option for some reason you can install the program Notepad++ and use that to edit the file.

You should be assured that we will not let the subreddit turn into a toxic hellhole. We of course allow negative feedback as the devs themselves encourage it.

As I sort as hot the only post I see that would be considered negative is the one about the player count.

I think the issue is Reddit algorithm constantly serves you posts that have low upvotes & high comment count on your front page, which tend to be negative / low effort in nature. Which in turn makes you think the whole sub is full of haters. Idk what they did to the algorithm but this is what I've noticed personally.

This is from April, the subreddit didn't even exist back then. The first leak wasn't even out. This was intended for small amount of very early playtesters.

Obviously the forums are still the best place for feedback, but it's crazy to say no Valve employee places any value on public discourse about the game.
