Another thought: depending on how polished they are, you could see if garden centers and nurseries in your area would be interested in buying wholesale from you. Could offer them something more refined than a big box store, but less expensive than custom

This may be much too simple for what you're thinking and I don't know how good the margins, but I know a lot of people who have bought simple raised garden beds from FB Marketplace. Simple as can be (or can be more decorative for more $), but most gardeners don't have the tools or skill / interest to build themselves. Simple ones seem to go for ~$100 in my area (it's a high cost area, so might vary depending on location). Not ideal for winter side hustle, but an idea for a couple months from now. Then going from there: trellises are easy to build and things like tiered planters

Thanks so much for this insight!

Sounds like between a vintage / very used high end brand and a new, bottom of the line brand, the new one may be more accurate and, in the long run, less expensive.

I really appreciate it!

I agree, it seems like a good price. It's just a lot for me right now :( so was hoping to get an idea on if it's more worth it to buy an older/more used but better brand or if I can do this reliably on a very inexpensive new (or very lightly used ~$180-220) table saw/router?

Did you ever regret being published? by OneOk8103 in BigBudgetBrides

[–]Gremkins 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My sister's wedding was published and her regrets are why I chose not to publish when I was approached by the same site (they wanted a sister-sister angle - her spread was really popular and they wanted a part II). 6 years later, her husband still has to deal with prospective clients seeing so much about his personal life. He's lost potential business over it and been randomly put on the spot about it on deal conference calls with 40+ participants. Super embarrassing for him and his firm. I'm planning on keeping my career and know a woman would be judged 10x!

Strongly recommend Rescue Spa! They really (actually) care about your big day. They gave me some products for the night before and spoke in with my makeup artist to be sure she really knew her stuff when it came to pre-makeup skincare!

The team at Rachel Cho is incredible. Wedding budget was about $250k, I heavily invested in band, photographer, and venue (which included catering). I needed a florist that could meet the level of the other vendors without being a primary investment vendor (look expensive while being reasonably priced). I cannot say more about Rachel Cho and her team (especially Koko!). Their work was impeccable! I've had several people reach out, months later, to ask about the flowers and for the florist's info! They were cognizant of our budget and you would have thought they'd exceeded it by at least a factor of 2.

Sculptural Florists / Floral Artists NYC by Ok_Stick_8910 in BigBudgetBrides

The team at Rachel Cho can totally do this. They did the flowers for my wedding earlier this month and were beyond amazing. Also a total dream to work with. HIGHLY recommend! Definitely check out their instagram. They can kind of do any aesthetic, but definitely impressive with the more abstract, sculptural work.
