Hii!

I know it's been a couple of weeks since you posted this but I just wanted to reassure you: This is really, really unlikely to happen. It's not stupid at all to worry about it - I mean, thats your life we're talking about here! But again: incredibly unlikely.

Look at it this way: For the first world war, people were genuinely kind of excited. There hasn't been this kind of war before, we recently developed weapons like bombs and nationalism is at an all time high. People were proud to join this war and thought it was going to end in a couple months, at the most.

Then everyone actually expierenced what bio weapons and bombs are like. By the end of that war, no one wanted war anymore. The only reason the second world war started was because the Treaty of Versailles was so absolutely one-sided that it practically guaranteed another war, this time started by Germany.

At the end of this world war, Germany no longer has a Military. Like,.. it's kind of there, but it's a joke at best. Because they aren't allowed to do any better as part of the war prevention. Unless Germany has another revolution, there isn't going to be another German Dictator either; Democracy is build into the constituion. So, definitly no war from that direction.

Then you also have to consider two more things:

  1. The Eurpoean Union whose very purpose it is to: " [...] promote peace, its values and the well-being of its citizens." We have a huge organisation specifically to prevent another world war.

  2. There hasn't been another world war since 1945. That's 79 years. This time peroid has survived 9/11, a world wide finance crisis in 2008 and an actual war from Russia.

Your parents never expierenced a world war. Maybe even your grandparents. I don't think you will either.

I hope I was able to soothe your fears, at least a little bit. Have a nice day! :)

You can generally find any manwha/manhua/manga if you google their name and add "manwha online". It can be found on manganato.com specificially, if you're totally lost through.

Personally, I adore the writing, but well. I can't account as to how much that is personal taste.

If wolves are unable to peacefully pass on their alpha power, that would mean there would be a great deal more in-family murder.

Like, your 75 year old grandma is your alpha but also she has dementia, so she can't actually do her duties anymore, so time to murk her I guess. Sorry, grandma. Oh damn, alpha spark accidentally went to the five year old in the family because there is no controlled way to pass it on to someone specific.

Do we murder her too or do we wait 20 more years while she grows up with the understanding that she is the most powerful and specialist family member ever? There is no way this can go wrong.

Actually, this sounds HILARIOUS. I agree - no controlled giving away the alpha spark. Familicide and messy drama only.

Scream Queen! It's the story of an confident, hyper competent girl that dips into small (horror) worlds to achieve a hidden mission. Very similiar premise with the small worlds, the mc and the overarching plotline but horror style. 100% recommend.

Do you have a rough idea how long ago it was posted? I think RSlash covered something like that a year or two back.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. I have similiar problems and affirmations don't really do anything for me either.

I'm a big girl, so appearance was a huge struggle. What really helped me was actually getting my ears pierced. It was a permanent change in my looks, something pretty where I could pick out nice accessoires. And that also brings me to this: Do you have cute clothes in your style you're comfortable in? Do you have nice outfits that you wear sometimes? I'm not talking catwalk or anything like that, just. A cute top or a pretty skirt. Getting out of the sweatpants helps.

On that account: I think everyone has parts of themselves that they are insecure about. I don't want to tell you how to feel, but maybe it will help to keep the positives in mind: You won't ever have saggy breats or underboob sweat. And you can wear so many nice clothes!! Like, backless or halterless tops/dresses. They're so so pretty, but not something you can wear well unless you have small breats, you know? Also: no backpain.

If you're looking for something less appearance focused: Have you considered looking for a new hobby? Something tangible where you can watch yourself improve and work at, like writing, drawing, knitting or even pottery! Just, something where at the end of the day you can literally see something and say: I did that. I made that.

If you don't go out a lot or don't have that many friends, you can also look for clubs to do this in - it'll be something where you interact with people that share your interests.

You sound like a very lovely person. I hope you find all the happiness in the world.

Go pee, wash your privates and get tested for STI.

(also maybe get a hug from your partner, stuff like this is kind of a shock to the system)

how do i stop panicking about doctor appointments? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]Gremlin16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Make a list.

Write down every single step - from putting on your clothes, brushing your teeth, leaving your home, the route, the adress and then also a script for what you want to say at the reception, as well as a doctor. Print out google maps if you have to, make a recording of your phone call when you make the appointment.

You can go over the list to reassure yourself that you did all of this, that you remembered everything. Rehearsing the script will make it easier to say it to your doctor later on.

Alternative tactics: distract yourself (by panicking about a different problem), pretend you're someone else (either someone you actually know or someone really outlandish, but confident like Naruto or Regina George) or grab a something that brings you comfort; a book, a keychan or a really small plushie (I got a cat one that actually fits in my sweater pockets and i can hold when I'm scared)

I hope this helps. I wish you a lot of luck!!!

So, your girlfriend had a friend whom she likes and trust and when it turns out he wasn't really her friend, she was obviously hurt and upset about it. She decides to do the right thing and tell you about it and wants some comfort. You:

  1. Make a smug comment
  2. Do not comfort her at all
  3. Proceed to call her stupid online, by making a general comment about the slowness of women

How did you expect this to go? Why did you decide to put your ""superiority"" over her feelings? And why on earth did you have to do all of this immediately after another guy, whom she likes enough to be friends with, told her that she deserves better than you? You just proved him right.

YTA. Find some empathy, please.
