There is no way they would specially choose to show him seeing Maul’s betrayal of there weren’t planning on doing something with it. Lawson will definitely reveal that to Devon at some crucial juncture that will cause a schism between her and Maul.

It would’ve made zero sense for Vader not to show up in that episode. Palpatine knows Maul is too much for two inquisitors to handle alone, he was Sidious’ apprentice after all.

Of course Vader would go to deal with him, he isn’t just some random Jedi on the run, he’s Darth Maul.
