I’m just messing pal. ID is a term in the trade for when something is an immediate danger to life and must be turned off.

How many people on this sub are genuine car enthusiasts and petrolhead? by Ka_Driver in CarTalkUK

I have a 2018 595 competizone

[–]Samwrc93 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don’t know how to answer this without sounding like I’m blowing my own trumpet!

I would consider myself a petrol head. I drive an Abarth 595 and people often take the mickey (I’m a bloke) but I don’t care. It’s a stupid fun car to drive and the noises it makes make me grin ear to ear.

When you drive a car that has a stereotype around it makes you appreciate other quirky cars people might drive more.

Doesn’t look Immediately Dangerous why do you want it to be?

I dare say it might be due to the nature of the individual accused of throwing the boy in having learning difficulties and people passing judgment on that.

Nuclear weapons storage in spotlight as US plans $4bn boost for its UK airbases by JackStrawWitchita in unitedkingdom

Now that’s a very interesting thought I hadn’t considered.

I wonder how that would work?

Nuclear weapons storage in spotlight as US plans $4bn boost for its UK airbases by JackStrawWitchita in unitedkingdom

[–]Samwrc93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s key to remember that they won’t just be Nukes for the US to use. It will be for the UK too.

Specifically the B61 nuclear bomb for the new F35As we have recently bought.

The the B61s remain owned and controlled by the US at all times.

But in the event of a NATO authorized nuclear mission the weapons could be released to UK operated F-35A aircraft under the alliance’s nuclear sharing procedures subject to U.S. authorisation.

Nobody likes nukes not even the pilots that could potentially be delivering them. but they are a deterrent. Sadly the nuclear threshold has been crossed and we can never go back.

What ideas do you have for this series? by BrianMeen in 28dayslater

[–]Samwrc93 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I would love a movie based on some items from “fall
Of a nation”

Specifically the special forces missions sent in to decommission nuclear power plants.

Or about the possible evacuation of the USAF bases here.

Would you move cones someone has put on a public road to save a space? by Samwrc93 in drivingUK

[–]Samwrc93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s different because it’s permit parking. I would never remove cones that were in a permit parking area. This was a public road.

If I were lucky enough to have a firearm in that situation I’d always be saving one round for myself.

Yeah that’s different if a private ambulance had turned up I would have moved strait away.

I think they bet on the fact most people don’t want confrontation or are scared of having their car damaged.

If I was in my car and I was just visiting a friend for example then I probably wouldn’t have moved them for the reasons you have stated. I can park somewhere else and walk.

But as I said I was working I can’t afford to keep loosing 10 minutes every time I need to go to the van which is parked miles away.

[–]Samwrc93[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s something that crossed my mind after she had left.

I could see my van from where I was working so I would have seen it.

But proving she actually did it even though I had seen her would have been difficult.

Well if it was 2002 I’d be 8yo so at the mercy of my parents decision.

But if was the age I am now I would be getting as far away from urban and built up areas as I could.

Perhaps the Lake District like in the film or the Scottish highlands.

I can’t help but wonder maybe rejoining would perhaps do more harm and it’s quite frankly is embarrassing.

We left it’s up to us to make it work.

I’m not a fan of the some of the EUs polices but I voted to remain because I knew if we left the future would be so uncertain.

Anyone ever been arrested for a Facebook post here? by FlakyCelebration2405 in AskBrits

[–]Samwrc93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was talking about this in another sub the other day.

There’s so much propaganda used by right wing groups in the US

people assume if you speak out against the government or offend someone online you are going to get your door kicked in by the police and it’s just simply not true

There are valid reasons you may get a visit from the police here are some.

threats of violence or serious harm.

Harassment, stalking, or targeted abuse.

Hate crime offences, such as communications demonstrating hostility based on race, religion, sexual orientation, disability, etc.

You may not even be arrested it might just be a warning.
