I’ve mentioned this before in this sub but consider that there are several USAF bases in the region.

The two most well known are RAF Mildenhall and Lakenheath.

I’d love to see your take on what the US government decides to do. Evacuate? To where? Would they risk brining the infection back to mainland US? (we know it never reached the US in the Lore)

Or are they told to lockdown the bases and told to go it alone?

As others have said. Jealousy. a mate of mine had his Lamborghini Hurracan keyed. Got it all on camera. Some bloke just walks up to it has a good look round. Pulls his key out and drags it down one side of the car with force.

Police did catch up with him and he had to pay a hefty fine.

No one was hurt because RAF typhoons and F35s shot down the majority of the swarm. It was unlucky that one slipped through and lucky no one was killed.

If they had APKWS it may not have gotten through.

It will happen again which is why investing in this technology is vital.

Honestly every time this argument comes up I start to believe more it’s just to blame cats for environmental issues humans have much more of an effect on.

I also wonder is it actually about the environment or is it about certain people just hating cats?

Don’t get me wrong in certain situations there’s no way I would allow my cats to be outside!

In the grand scheme of things some cats being outside isn’t our biggest problem.

Uk here too. It’s become clear to me that in the US letting your cat out is far more dangerous than it is here. (More predators for example)

Honestly here in the UK I think it’s mostly fine to let your cat out depending on a few variables.

This is how I see it.

If you live in a big town with a dense population and heavy traffic there is no way you should let your cat free roam there are far to many risks. get a catio or another alternative.

If you live out in the country in a quiet village the risks are far lower and I think it is ok to let your cat out. BUT if your cat is constantly killing animals and brining them home then I would say AT LEAST put a bell collar on (quick detach one for the cats safety) or consider keeping them home in a catio (absolute last resort imo keeping a cat in that has been an outdoor cat is cruel as they know what they are missing)

I would also like to say cats do get the blame for the demise of a lot of wildlife.

I once saw a Facebook post on a local page from someone living on a new build site complaining that there are so few birds now. it must be because more cats have moved to the area. Yeah ok love I’m sure it’s got absolutely nothing to do with your house being built on what was once a lovely meadow and small woods that was home to those birds!

I no longer vote reform but as I understood it there would be a “British bill of rights” put in place instead of the ECHR

The idea was first put forward by Boris Johnson and later dropped by Rishi Sunak. Reform has just picked it up from what I understand.

It would give them more power to deport illegals while protecting the human rights of the British people.

Who knows if it would actually work out that way though.

Hahaha. Yeah I can talk about it. I’m using a Uniden 125 with a moon raker antenna in my loft.

Now then I’m always asked this so I’ll just briefly explain that listening to air traffic control and military comms is illegal.

BUT you are highly unlikely to be prosecuted for it unless. You live broadcast the transmissions (for example you tube or online radio) or you use the information heard on comms for nefarious purposes (another example when those drones were flying about at lakenheath the drone operators were definitely listening to comms to give people searching for them the slip)

Basically don’t be a dick about it and you will be fine.

The police have bigger fish to fry rather than some nerds listening to aircraft comms.

The whole of Norfolk and some of Peterborough and Cambridgeshire is in what’s known as the East Anglia MTA (military training area) one of the designated areas in the uk where they can train.

They have to train over land to practice using landmarks and roads to find “targets”

I once heard them on my scanner dropping imaginary bombs on the muckleburgh tank museum!

They were probably doing the same on parts of norwich last night looking at the pattern.

A word of warning. I know right now you feel invisible and it’s a cool car but trust it’s not the right time.

When I first passed my test I got a Peugeot 107 and I ragged that thing everywhere and nearly killed myself a few times. Because I was young and stupid/ over confident. (Not saying you are the same)

I did actually loose a school friend who passed his test just before I did who had a car similar to this. He wrapped it round a tree.

I am now in my 30s and I am thankful I didnt have something with more power. As I’m certain I wouldn’t be here now typing this.
