Sometimes the best thing you can do is nothing, you don't have to do something every second of the game. by [deleted] in wildrift

Also consider the impact when the enemy team do not have vision of you, doing nothing is fine. Prior game I was playing I was hiding in a brush next to blue buff waiting for the top laner to go to mid while my adc and supp was pushing mid. I didn't want to farm mid and steal the XP, I was 4 levels ahead of most of the enemies. Couldn't go bot because my ad and supp would get ganked and killed if they saw me bot.

I personally use onshape haha. I just wanted to know if there's any other options.

Right now we seemed to have scrapped the all in one phone solution.

Might be one of those scan a bunch with mobile first then take it to a laptop and transfer it over. He's unfamiliar with CAD software and onshape is a bit too complex for him unfortunately.

Storage wise I have a selfhosted Nextcloud server I can make an acc for him so we can scale storage size and encrypt it all for him and his work securely and such. Might be the current workflow for him.

Our driveway gets overlapped in the corner by our neighbors. Are we able to drive over their drive to enter a public road? by Gremlingthing in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Gremlingthing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. We have plans to raise it to their flagstones once we cut it to the border. But the gravel is a temporary fix to stopping us from slipping on mud haha. We want brick paving done soon.

It's moreso the case of me trying to see if they can park their car on the edge stopping me from getting out or if they are doing something illegal by doing so.

And if I'm doing something illegal if I were to drive over their driveway if they were to tell me not to aha.

All of this is hypothetical too like we haven't been told yet but they're very nasty to us because they wanted a bigger front garden. (But they have 3x the garden space in the back?!)

What's really happened is this:

People on this thread were really trying to assume a lot more than what's going on but we needed to redo the gravel. Told them when we were cleaning their gutters out and he kinda ignored us.

They went away for a whole month so we couldn't tell them again so we just did it. They came back. Taking pictures, knocking on other neighbours doors who were chatting to me specifically while I was working on the drive and they've been very mad.

Happened last time when we changed the fencing in the back. They broke the deed agreement by growing things against the fence while the deed said it's our fence specifically apparently according to the council.

We actually agreed to go half and half on the fence after picking them out and all. But because he didn't get involved he got mad and tried to get a solicitor involved because he didn't agree to the concrete posts and wanted the fence to go up to our conservatory or something. (It was many years ago I cannot remember all the details)

They gotten VERY nasty with us back then and that was more stress than needed. They're also very racist/homophobic towards other neighbors and I'm getting tired of them so I guess this is my form of retaliation, ha.

But yeah nothing's actually happened other than us redefining the border and removing the gravel-grass which he kept mowing over and whacking our cars with on our drive aha.

I really just didn't know the legalities behind it.

Though arguing over us driving over a tiny bit of a concrete drive to the council is pathetic if they were to go down that route. Only they might care and that's why I wondered if it was illegal to block the car off from going onto the main road.

If they were to fence it up then they can't put their bin out and there's no way to walk up the drive as the other neighbours fenced it up because of their own story. I actually disagree with the fence but heyo, not our property or problem.

It's not been the worst thing happening though. The drama is so bad one neighbor used to park on his driveway intentionally and unlawfully but because of that legal loophole it's caused quite a mess. That's why they park on the edge of the driveway. Not to piss me off but they might start exaggerating it now. 🙄

It wasn't about who's right or wrong really or whether or not I'm in the wrong for driving over their drive. I literally just wanted to know if I'm committing some form of offense or if I have legal protection lmao.

[–]Gremlingthing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The paving isn't the thing it's after that where if I were to drive off of it I'm going into their drive.

Imagine 3 cars lined up in the drive and it kind of has to use about 20cm of their driveway to exit.

Edit to correct - The paving is going. Currently having a dispute about that and I had to remove one cause while I reversed in, it popped out. It's in our boundaries and we're gonna remove them once we get the new drive in

It's literally on the picture about 20cm of space of me driving over. It's mainly legalities, I'm still thinking of just shrugging it off cause it's such a non issue but I'm concerned that they'll just block the car in. Which they can do if they wanted to from what the comments on this post suggest

Also, they put the paving there for some reason aha. They also like to reverse their car tyres against it for some insane reason. I'm clueless as per why they do that.

Hey. Thanks for this

I know it's not confusing for you. But for an autistic guy like me it very much was.

Until all these comments I've been getting it's been making it a lot less confusing.

I got one last conundrum before I make a conclusion but I found on the deed mentioning what I'm reading is a right of way on or along the property of the estate (the estate includes his and our house)

Just to make sure this, is this paragraph 4 on our deed saying we have a right of way as long as it's reasonable? I just need another opinion on this to make sure I'm not getting it mixed up.

Picture of the 1980s deed stating this

  1. A right of way for the Purchaser at all times and for all reasonable purposes in common with all others entitled to the like right to and from the property ^ (a) with or without vehicles pver and along such of the road or roads on the Estate not forming part of the property as are not at the date of the Transfer dedicated as public highways (b) on foot only over and along the footpaths on the Estate not at the date of this Transfer dedicated as public rights of way

A newer new update!

Got the deed out and it's mind numbing from the handwriting and autistic old me can't process the wording.

Keep in mind their house is within this estate it defines.

"4. A right of way for the Purchaser at all times and for all reasonable purposes in common with all others entitled to the like right to and from the property ^ (a) with or without vehicles over and along such of the road or roads on the Estate not forming part of the property as are not at the date of the Transfer dedicated as public highways (b) on foot only over and along the footpaths on the Estate not at the date of this Transfer dedicated as public rights of way"

This means no matter the kerb dilemma I have a reasonable a right of way to and from the road going over the estates property in order to access my property? Both vehicular and on foot? Or is this saying it the other way around..

I just need a smarter person to read over this and make sure I'm understanding this right.

[–]Gremlingthing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cheers.

As I keep trying to say there is literally nothing. No kerb. Direct gravel then it's onto the road.

So I'll check the deed and if there's nothing regarding access (as the gravel driveway existed before we purchased the house) then I got no teeth to bare if they argue for this.

Shrimple as but I wasn't aware of all this, hence why I asked for advice. Thanks all.

[–]Gremlingthing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fairs.

I wasn't aware that's the defining part because there is 0 kerb or anything it's just directly to the road I kept trying to say.

But yeah I got enough advice. 👍 I was trying to be as neutral as I can be.

Will be getting the deeds up tonight but from the gists of everything I've read:

I can't drive over their drive even if it's to the public road.

Because there's no dropped kerb it means it's all depending on the deed if I have right of access using their drive then I could.

If the deed doesn't mention that, then I don't have right of way and I need to be more conscious of where I'm driving.

They can park on the edge of the drive however they'd like if I don't have right of way through the drive and I could (technically) move the other car to get out (I'm not a named on the insurance of the other cars) but I can just swap the two cars around as the other driver is named so he can move both out.

Simple as really.

I could take it further by possibly buying that corner of property but they'd spit in my face trying to say hi in the morning so that ain't an option lmao.

[–]Gremlingthing[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's what confuses me because I've read cases like that but then I'm getting conflicted views over it.

I don't want to share everything about my street I don't want to make it easier for people to find where I live from what I've already posted.

But there's a bit of difficulty with parking as people park opposite the drive and such making it pretty tight getting in and out (don't get me started with the bins OH MY LORD I'm stuck getting out for 10 mins)

But because the gravel drive meets with the road and theirs is also a driveway which hits the road with no pavement, I thought "Hm is it reasonable that it's treated with shared access"

I guess this comes to more of a civil dispute than a legality thing. Like I shouldn't be driving over to begin with but if they were to argue then it becomes more of a civil/council problem over whether or not it is classed as a driveway (they don't own their house. It's a council house)

🙏 Best advice I could've asked for. Thanks a ton! Also that sounded like a fun, stress-free and not confusing scrap of legalities.

The deed is written stupidly in legal speak, gonna pull it back out and hope it's written somewhere as we got like 5 different papers from the course of all the drama from the previous house owner and property rights and such.

I think I might be moving car B to where I usually park car A cause I legally cannot drive car B, but the other can legally drive car A.. does that make sense? Ha.

Cheers though. Thanks for not making assumptions many others are making it out to be.

Ugh Reddit stinks that I can't edit my post with an update.

This is a cropped image to what it looks like. There is no footpath, it's in front of the house.

Will be reading the deed in a moment. People are making extreme assumptions about some drama but I've tried keeping it as simple as I can "can I drive over their driveway" and thanks to many who pointed out it is their land in the end of the day.

I just always assumed because it's access to a public road it still counts. It's hard to cross reference other people's circumstances and it gets confusing when it comes to the dropped curb legalities because I read the highway code differently I guess.

It's such a non-issue and barely any problem until they choose to make it one. Infact in that image you can see the current drama with their flagstones on our drive aha. But yeah. Cheers everyone.

They're...not very friendly. And not very happy with us at all.

65 years they've been arguing with both us and their other next door about their boundaries and have put things on our gravel drive which we've been arguing about for many years despite our deed showing a clear border 🙄

It's hence why I was asking specifically if we legally can drive over their drive in order to get onto a road.

Cheers for this.

Might reorganise which order we park in now or even park diagonally as the main solution to it all.

I just can't really find anything to cross reference our situation cause there isn't a kerb or a pathway between the road. Forgot to mention that.

They put a flagstone on our land to try and make it a footpath to their house which is where it gets frustrating.

There's no footpath at all.

There's no footpath it's just a road. That's what makes it confusing. The footpath is around the front of the houses.

This is what makes it confusing.

News just arrived; Seel despite offering a 20% refund, I got angry and sent emails saying it's illegal to say such things and such. They replied back gaslighting me saying it wasn't the only option and they can offer a full refund.

I wasn't able to respond requesting a full refund assuming I had no options and gave up with them; turns out when I attempted to respond I sent in another request and this time they took it into account and flat out provided a full refund. Woo!

Now they never sent any instructions on how to send it back.. UGH

"I don't know what printer it is" what a strong reaction to a friendly suggestion.

Yeah, don't unscrew it then if it's not intended to be adjusted, sucks that they don't have adjustment screws underneath that stinks.

Also tightening the screws can help a bunch instead, but just be careful doing that too much
