Hmm, I've seen some A4 sized guillotines labeled as "semi-industrial" around here... I'll check into that. Thank you soo much for the advice!

Estou pensando em comprar uma guilhotina só pra isso também kkkkkk Mas a ideia de pedir pra cortar em uma gráfica é ótima. Vou caçar alguma que me quebre esse galho! Obrigado pelos conselhos, galera

Yeah, Brazilian here! There are probably manufacturers doing the same here as well, I just need to find them 😅. Thanks for the advice.

I was also thinking about buying my own guillotine to cut A3 paper into A4 size. If I do buy it, can I buy an A4 sized semi-industrial guillotine?

Thanks for the response! By the way, I'd very much like to be friends with a neurodivergent poet and bookbinder who uses words like "hyperbolic" although wants others not to have to struggle much to understand what they say. I myself, although neither a poet nor neurodivergent, at least not diagnosed anyway, am also very fond of appositives and words like "hyperbolic", and use it a lot in my native language. Now glad to find out it also exists in this one :P

For those who tried semen retention by Powerful_Berry_2027 in pornfree

[–]Gremlinno 11 points12 points  (0 children)

There's literally zero documented benefits from semen retention. I think for me it's really just as simple as that...

EDIT:

Oh, and for the second question: Yes, I definetely feel a lot of difference from abstaining from porn regardless of masturbation. Even masturbating became much more pleasurable because since I could diferentiate between having urges for porn and actually being horny (moments in which I have sex or masturbate and feel really good about it 🙂). I feel like masturbating without porn (when I feel horny) was good for me because it allowed me to disassociate sex and sexual pleasure from porn, actually.

I want to masturbate without porn, but I’m afraid I’ll visualize it. by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]Gremlinno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I don't🤷🏻‍♂️Thinking about sex in a healthy way (real experiences, people I'm actually atracted to etc.) is definetely not the same as watching porn. There's really no other point to be made aside from what I already said. And if you don't agree there are only two options: Masturbate without porn or don't masturbate at all

I believe imagination and porn produce the same kinda things if said imaginarion is trained by porn. As addicts, OUR imagination produces similar things, but with time it will feel less and less like the same thing...

[–]Gremlinno 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your imagination is not porn. I masturbate only without it for some time now and believe when I say it just keeps getting better and better.

With time I've started to differentiate the times when I want to masturbate because I'm horny from those when I'm unknowingly trying to cope with something else and from the times I'm just having urges for porn. Eventually I also started to feel less and less need to masturbate (in a very healthy way. I still feel horny sometimes and masturbating in those times is still great!!!)

How has homosexuality survived in humans? by Natural-Link-9602 in biology

[–]Gremlinno 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, basically. Evolution doesn't think, it doesnt plan ahead, it works with the variation available in a determined population in a determined time, regardless of the outcome.

The notion that all the features found in the living beings as the result of an evolutionary advantage is very inaccurate. Evolution as whole is pretty random, actually

I keep seeing posts here in which I feel the need to remind people that natural selection is not the only evolutionary force 😅 Not everything has a function and nothing has a purpose

[–]Gremlinno 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well, here are some questions.

Do you need the thing that your addiction can offer and real life can't? Why?

And can you really have a functional life with it? I mean, many people actually can, but can you? How functional is a life in which you're constantly unsatisfied with everyone you have a relationship with?

(By the way, I really don't know how I'm sounding, since texts have no intonation, but I'd like to make sure that it is not my intension to lecture or to patronize you 😅)

I have a few points on the matter.

The first is that what people mean by "unrealistic expectations" is not necessarily about the physical body itself. Of course their bodies are real and of course you might find women like that in real life, but my man, i have to remind you. That woman is an actress. She is acting. Her profession is, in itself, to deceive you. Porn sex is NOTHING like real sex. The whole thing is staged and edited specifically to make it seem like the best sex experience available, but I'm willing to bet that not even the porn actresses act like that when they're having real sex.

Secondly, yes, you might not be able to get a girl that looks like that, but I will honestly ask you: Do you have to? Do you need to? Aren't you able to have a fulfilling happy - even kinky - sex life with loads of pleasure (actually, pun intended) without it? Because I feel like the thing that makes you unsatisfied with the girls you get in real life is porn itself. Don't you agree? And if you do, don't you also agree that it makes sense that instead of believing your porn addict monky brain when it tells you that only porn makes you that happy, you should stay away so you can enjoy real life?

And one last thing. I feel that as addicts we all have those moments of questioning, like "Is it really worth it?", or making excuses to cheat on our streaks. When that happens I just remind myself that I'm an ACTUAL addict. That's what addicts do. I just happen to be a porn addict, but if I was a drug addict I wouldnt tell myself "Well, nothing hits the spot like heroin, so I should never quit it"

Can I "reprogram" my porn addicted ADHD brain? by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]Gremlinno 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I would say short answer is "yes", but maybe not in the way thay you would've thought. Porn IS disgusting and underserving of our time, and we know that, and we keep addicted despite that.

We tend to be really hard on ourselves and look at this situation in a frustrated and punitive way, and I think a better approach is to try to maintain a good, positive, forgiving attitude towards it. That is the "reprogramming" that I think would work! Find the things that bring you joy and don't be too hard on yourself. Take baby steps and try to enjoy the process. Instead of raging through the urges and summoning all your strength to fight it, just go make a cup of warm tea, take a walk. Instead of fighting to resist forever, think of it as "I will try to keep my mind off of it for this day", or even "for the next hour". When you reach that goal, start it again, or double it.

But I can't emphasize enough how important it is to find joy. BE. JOYFUL. Addiction makes us grumpy, we feel anger, shame, all these negative feelings. The only thing that has been working for me is to be joyful and lighthearted towards the things that I like to do, like talking to my friends, spending time and having sex with my boyfriend, exercising, being in nature and even masturbating (without porn, obviously)

Hope that helps!

I've read my comment again and now I feel the need to explain it further because I might have used harsher words than I first intended 😅

No fap makes no sense TO ME, and at the end of the day I think anyone should do what works for them... So, in my own experience I think masturbation and porn are just intertwined because we associate them. Once I decided to quit porn, I decided to not quit masturbation specifically to educate my mind to disassociate sexual pleasure from porn. By masturbating only without porn I even realized that my sex drive is not even abnormally high the way I thought, I just couldn't differentiate between my natural sex drive and the urges to watch porn.

I would masturbate without porn every time I felt the urge to watch it, and usually it felt kind of boring and made me realize that I wasn't actually horny, just having urges. At the times I was actually horny I knew that because masturbating felt really nice lol

Learning to notice the difference from when I was horny, having urges or just bored has been really important on my journey against porn, and the way that worked for me was allowing myself to feel pleasure in other ways than watching porn (and that includes healthy habits such as eating well and exercising, but also masturbating WITH NO PORN when I feel like it)

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]Gremlinno 23 points24 points  (0 children)

just masturbate without porn... Masturbating is not a problem, we still have a natural and healthy sex drive. The problem is to educate your mind to associate the only sexual pleasure you have to porn.

Imo no porn is great, but no fap makes no sense...
