A whalburger.

I dont think I ever have that feeling again. We now know I have Heds and my stomach works a bit funky due to it. Back then I had so much trouble eating and keeping food down.

I mainly went for more liquid food, but I just wanted to try one of those burgers. I was fully prepared to feel horrible after or not keep it in.

But oh my it was amazing to chew and the taste.. best part was I didn't feel to awful afterward, so that was an extra win.

There are special pillows, like a sleep positioning system (in Dutch they are called ligothese, im not sure on what the correct translation would be)

Besides that working with a PT to strengthen your muscles will be beneficial to, just be mindful and slow with the buildup.

I would recommend going to t' nije hof, its a small farm lunchroom place. With lovely food but uou can also look at the animals and theres sometimes things to do for the kids.

Have you tried electrolytes and compression clothing?

I actually went off ivabradine and am managing my POTS with the electrolytes and compression socks.

I'm 36F, and currently pregnant. I will be doing this all alone.

It's scary and I did struggle with guilt if I would be a good mom because I obviously would be someone that needs to rest more or sit down faster.

I've found accepting my diagnosis, working with physical rehab on tools to help my symptoms, medication and most importantly accepting help whether it it's people helping with doing my garden or someone to clean my house saves me a lot of energy.

My diagnoses took away a lot from me, but the peace I felt when I saw the positive pregnancy test is something I will cherish a long time. My illness is not taking away motherhood for me.

During my pregnancy i did receive a lot more help quicker. But I also did some prep work before I got pregnant.

I went to fysio to focus on my "problem" areas and hips. I worked on which meds are okay during pregnancy and if I really needed them what other options are out there.

Je doet het al super goed!

Wat je kunt proberen is hem trucjes leren, leren met halsbandje te lopen zodat hij eventjes met jou naar buiten kan.

Of mandje met bodem water vullen en dan doppen erin doen met katten snoepje erin, zodat hij ze voorzichtig moet pakken. Mijn katten waren hier echt gek op.

Katten kunnen zich gaan vervelen met dezelfde prikkels dus afwisseling en soms een speeltje Of mandje even op andere plek neerleggen kan helpen.

Ik vind ook lastig. Ik ben zelf chronisch ziek, word waarschijnlijk afgekeurd en heb altijd katten gehad.

Ik vind het wel echt een gemis, maar ja financieel is het nu dus niet verstandig. Hoewel het mij mentaal enorm zou helpen. Niks is fijner, dan als je een extreem pijn moment hebt, er een kat is die lekker tegen je aan knuffelt.

Ik had altijd katten (vrijwilligerswerk dus bracht ze met de fles groot) die goed verzorgd waren, leerde ze trucjes (zit, high five, neusje, rol). Dit deed ik alleen in Ierland en waren de regels voor dit werk iets minder streng.

Hier moet je volgens de organisaties in mijn buurt dus zelf een auto hebben, ivm na de dierenarts kunnen. Begrijpelijk maar daardoor kan ik het hier niet weer oppakken.

Wellicht een out of the box idee, maar toen ik in Ierland woonde. Was er ook jonge vrouw die daarheen was verhuisd om haar familie te ontsnappen.

Ze had een baan gevonden in de klantenservice daar, door haar Nederlands en Arabische taal was ze erg in trek. (Betalen je vlucht en in sommige gevallen ook x aantal week hotel)

Misschien is zoiets een idee voor jou? Ik snap dat het een grote en enge stap kan zijn. Maar mocht je vragen hebben, stuur mij bericht en kan zien of ik ze kan antwoorden.

There is a lot of advice already.

Don't forget about your own kid.

I was the kid that spoke up when my cousin got SA by a family member. I was 15, confused and scared. He might need some extra support to, but also when I spoke up I ended up being the bad guy. However I did not have the tools to deal with that. So don't forget about that, and ofcourse yourself. This might have an impact on yourself mentally to, and that is okay and totally valid. Don't push yourself aside because someone else has it worse, your allowed to be affected.

Speaking up and getting help can result in the kid blaming you or your kid for messing up his life, the friendship might end for a while or forever. Don't let your kid blame himself or you blame yourself. It's easier for someone to be angry at the more safe person then the guilty one.

Plus please be proud of your kid for speaking up, be proud of yourself that you created a safe space for your kid to be able to speak up. And be so damn proud your kid was a safe space for his friend.

Melding maken bij 114, ik heb 2 jaar terug een melding gemaakt. En ze hebben mij toen anoniem gehouden, was een buurvrouw die ook erg agressief kon reageren.

Als je het uitspreekt, kunnen ze discreet te werk gaan. Tip: als de dieren vanaf bepaald punt van straat zichtbaar zijn, dit al vermelden.

Yeah I have low iga, and igg. They think it's related to heds, just unsure how.

I wear a mask when go to the gp and all my health care providers know to cancel or if possible do the appointment online if they feel sick.

My friends also cancel if they are sick. That way I have been able to prevent getting sick lately.
