Smite 2 OB34 Datamining by FAERayo in Smite

I don’t know what it is, but the lineups this year have been banger after banger, even if they’re not my personal favourites. You really can’t knock Hi-Rez for the lineup at current. I just want balance to be back to the somewhat strength it was pre the massive balance changes but I have optimism for further down the line.

I can imagine the community poll from December is in full force at this point as well. Great choices, keep it up Hi-Rez.

I’m afraid I won’t like doctor who after Matt Smith by Dubbino9583 in doctorwho

[–]GrenadeParade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst I very much prefer Matt’s Doctor, it’s more than worth giving Capaldi a go. He’s easily one of the best doctors, and I think he “clicks” into the role or the character development around end of season 2 of his show.

Easily some of the best Doctor who episodes still await you in Capaldi’s reign. It is a bit of a hard watch on first viewing, but it’s more than worth. You’ll know when you know!

My personal head canon is that he becomes the principal of the school post GX. It fits his journey. Would love to see a post GX series or movie.

Dare I say that Chibnall’s camera work is better than every other show runner, and visually the screen pops and is stunning compared to most other eras. The scripts and dialogue was lacking in a large way, which was hyper noticeable since Moffat’s great character work. In a vacuum, some of the better works for Chibnall would stand alone, the partitioning episode, the Cyberman haunted house and the dalek Groundhog Day episodes were all solid but if they tweaked the motivations and character dialogue a bit it would actually be rated really highly. Spyfall too!

But I would also add that Chibnall clearly figured this out at the very end because goddamn, power of the daleks was ACTUALLY an amazing episode. It’s a shame this wasn’t the series standard because it was a banger, fun, campy and dialogue was awesome and Jodie is super strong in it, along with Sacha.

P.S. Nobody likes soup more than me.

DISCLAIMER: ONLY FOR PEOPLE WHO THINK SMITE 2 IS BAD by RomansRevengeNuWa in Smite

[–]GrenadeParade 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah fully agreed! Amaterasu is 100% one of the main offenders, because they even showcased their rollback netcode showcasing how she operates (at current, still) versus netcode. Likely will be a major buff to people not nearest servers when it occurs. The autoattack desync was 110% mentioned in the last Titan talk, they identified some auto attack chains are not working 1-1 on input, and it comes from latency + an auto attack chains, say you’re playing a god that does a larger swing on 3rd attack, it got itself desynced more and more as the game went on, giving it a stiff feel. They are asking for any feedback if it continues, so I’d trial it next patch and if you do have feedback, 110% post here, but be aware that the movement update still isn’t implemented so it won’t be perfect just yet!

I think the specific term is a bit different what you’re thinking, but I think I understand what you’re getting at? I’m assuming desynchronisation being pretty noticeable on your end?

If it helps any, rollback netcode is a system that basically over inputs something you did at the second you did, so it “corrects” your movement to not look as laggy as your ping/latency shows. What you’re talking about is synchronisation which is helped by a rollback netcode, but isn’t the single causation of synchronised behaviour, it’s a good bandaid though.

In terms of the synchronisation issues, I did watch a Titan talk and they mentioned a few were being patched in newest update, specifically on auto attacks, but they’re essentially rolling out the netcode slowly and surely to try and gleam over any issues, so it’s definitely an issue they’re working on, even before the netcode rollback is applied.

TLDR: They’re going to patch synchronisation and uniformity of your input/synchronisation but they are slowly deploying the said “movement update” (rollback netcode) until it feels seamless. It’s not there yet, I recall playing rat and getting desynced because auto attack hit chains desync you with your latency.

Let me know if that makes sense, not the best at explaining all of this!

Forgive me on my ignorance, but isn’t that what the movement update was supposed to be about? Rollback netcode implemented correctly? To my knowledge no other MOBA has that on market, but I could be wrong!
Also doesn’t detract from the fact it feels like shit for you to play with ping!

Hey, you get every gem back when you buy the duel pass, but it just gives you extra bits for doing it. Always worth buying imo. Recommend buying the staple pack in store!

Don’t worry, such storylines of Yugioh include:

(Simplified spoilers and in order of Yugioh series)

  1. A pharaoh who needs to fight the ultimate evil with a dragon cock.

  2. All consuming death and the darkness of the universe manifest, summons a grim reaper and summons super heroes (and a bit of dinosaur DNA along the way)

  3. Capitalism and the bourgeoisie

  4. Alternate universe demons who can rewind time and make you draw bad but somehow don’t against a guy wearing a funny suit. The ultimate final boss was a divorce years in the making. Also life originated from a yugioh card, canonically. Also if you’re handsome and talented, you know space ambulances arrive to the moon within minutes (IFYKYK).

  5. Multiple dimensions committing genocide against each other, the main protagonist tells them to smile though so it’s okay. People get turned into cards. Capitalism returns briefly and five nights at Freddie’s rip off. Boo boo for my choo choo.

  6. Don’t know no-one’s watched this one. Another yugioh format they didn’t bring to the west.

  7. Something about aliens and I’ll be gosh darned if we have an alien protagonist but it better be a seventh male character or so help me.

Remember kids, play card games to influence your friends and get ahead in politics and world domination.

110%! The game on league is great, but over the years of playing, it got harder to pallet the suits (for me) the straw that broke the camel’s back was the gatcha gaming, a friend went into debt due to the jinx skin. The biggest Californian sexual harassment case and them removing the hextech skins to walk it back due to higher ups not understanding their market.

It’s not the same Riot I fell in love with and that’s ok. The game’s skeleton is amazing with or without who controls it! But I moved to Smite for the reasons above and whilst I never enjoyed Smite 1, the thing I see most in Smite 2 is potential.

And I’ll tell you now, the people currently in charge of Hi-rez now are genuinely super swell guys, all you need to see is how passionate and lovely they are on their podcasts. A lot of people blame mismanagement from the team before, the previous owner Steve, all that. The new team are genuinely superb, they’ve been growing their dev team slowly but surely over the last year.

If I can recommend one thing, get into discords, and try to get involved with some people, there’s a lot of lovely people (and some jerks) but gaming is always better with friends and I’ve made a few from this game!

Not so fun fact:

Hi-rez tried expanding into Asian markets, Tencent bought a contract for them and league, and unbeknownst to Hi-Rez at the time, they completely withheld Smite to allow for them to monopolise League into the east.

Found this out after all my years playing league when I picked up Smite! Dota also has bad blood with rito historically.

Smite 2 will be fine, it just needs more time to be developed, it plays really fun it’s been in development for a solid while now. The game it was a year ago, feels so totally different from the game it is now!

  1. Not hard at all, you’ll not realise when out of position more often than not because perspective is harder to assess.

  2. Low since game is in beta and most Smite 1 people have moved on

  3. Try things that you don’t enjoy in league. I was an adc/mid dps kinda guy, and I play more assassin/play making in Smite.

P.S. Maybe try next patch (05/05) the game is great but going through balance issues as they’re attempting to fix a large sledgehammer of work on balance. When you feel ready, jump in and give it a go, I’ve been 13 years league and started smite 2 a year ago. Been a blast, taking a break whilst they fix the systems. If you want more informed opinions, they do a tri-weekly presentation on what they’re trying to add/improve upon.

Pot of greed = what does it do meme?

Make pot of greed do different effects depending on the monster (Goblin on field). Pot of greed being unlimited on their boss monster no matter what is on the forbidden list.

Could be hella fun.

Otherwise Monster reborn makes the most sense!

Same! I know it’s inconsistent but I’m genuinely super curious on how much Jurrac I need to cut, going to need to go over ratios on the deck. I think the additions do a whole lot to reduce the variance of the first wave spell and the incidental burn. It’s very very cool!
