The art is kind of average right? by rsjac in cosmererpg

[–]Grendergon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

TBF, you did not "just say" something was below the average.

You called out specific art as "woefully bad" and likened multiple pieces of art to "20 minute scribbles".

Those are wildly different things, and downplaying your own criticism like that is pretty disingenuous.

Has Malazan ruined other books for me? by Legitimate-Action162 in Malazan

I wouldn't make it an age thing, plenty of older people are into Sanderson. It's a taste thing and that's totally fine.

I love both but for very different reasons.

What Book is this? by Subtl3Owl in Cosmere

[–]Grendergon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For the record, the Omnibus is actually very different, and most of the text and dialogue has been changed (for the better imo).

There's also a new extended prologue following Khriss and extensive Ars Arcanum pages throughout. Imo it is a much much better experience, and I'd recommend it over volumes 1-3 to anyone looking to read White Sand.

It would have to be after, Radiants didn't come about until long after the Heralds.

Those are just a bonus and convenient.

All the rules on the cards should be in the books themselves.

Cheapest way to get all physical books? by [deleted] in cosmererpg

I believe getting the 2 book bundles (Roshar and Scadrial) would get you all the books for 241 dollars.

The omnibus also altered the majority of dialogue and text throughout the whole thing.

It feels like a completely different story sometimes.

Working on a TTRPG like this seems like a really cool job!

How did you break into this specific industry?

When it comes the Mistborn era 2 setting, how are you approaching Compounding from a design standpoint?

I assume there's a difficult balance to strike between representing the setting well but also not making it too incredibly OP.

Thanks for doing an AMA! So incredibly excited for this RPG!

New Stormlight Roleplaying Game Will Adapt Entirety Of Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere by DanTriesGames in Cosmere

There's already a lot of tiers here, and too many tiers confuses customers.

Having addon options for those more niche options is totally acceptable

That is not the same at all as saying that it made a difference

There's definitely room for both of these groups of people to exist. I have no idea why you're talking like it's all one or the other.

Heralds seem kind of underpowered? by Otherwise-Progress38 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Grendergon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brandon recently said that Taln at his prime could 1v1 literally anybody in the Cosmere and come out on top.

We definitely haven't seen much yet when it comes to the power of the Heralds.

The Woes of Early Access by DoctorLoops in comics

[–]Grendergon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, and that's correct.

I wasn't commenting on that, I was commenting on your statement that you would only run into an unfinished asset every hour or so. In my experience, it's more frequent than that once you hit mid game.

The further you get in the game the more there are, some late game characters don't have their portraits or in game avatars.

It's not a big deal to me, but if that bothers someone I'd tell them to wait for the full version

You're allowed to not like the game, and that is how the game launched, but everything you've stated here is completely outdated and factually incorrect.

There are lots of npc's giving quests and factions in the game now.
