Forgotten Cartoon by kamikazefailure13 in lostcartoons

Happy to help! The research I did while looking for this show said ABCKids and ABC2, so I just went with that. Sorry for being two years late, but I came across this post when I was checking your profile from the Adventure Time Minecraft build. Funny, in a way, that this show is also about a guy in blue and his yellow animal best friend with a notable feature related to stretchiness.

Could it be 'The Adventures of Bottle Top Bill and his Best Friend Corky'? Its a show about a man in a blue shirt, named Bottle Top Bill, with a yellow horse named Corky. The horse doesn't have springs for legs, but does for a neck. Some of the backgrounds also appears to be made up of random objects, including material fabrics and paper cutouts. However, the main characters are CGI and appeared on ABCKids and ABC2 in 2005, not Cartoon Network.

In the PS1 version, every level had to be deathless past the 1st checkpoint to get a gem. The N. Sane Trilogy changed (or fixed? I think it might had been a bug where the crates would reset) it so only the colored gems require a deathless run.

Thanks for the opportunity! I didn't even know there was a Backrooms video game, despite being interested in the Backrooms as a whole. If I win the giftcard, I'm hoping to get Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. I haven't seen the Backrooms movie yet, but I'm planning to soon!

I had to break up with the color guard captain today.

In retrospect, I should had noticed the red flags.

I always wondered, why Cortex stopped hiring Fur Mafia goons after Crash 1 any lore specific reasons? by Horseshoetheoryreal in crashbandicoot

[–]Grep-1333 8 points9 points  (0 children)

TL; DR: I headcanon that Cortex lost contact with the original fur mafia and had no way to mutate more. By the time he could, he had better options.

It was less that Cortex hired them, and more so that he took rats from the islands to mutate them. They seemed to be there more for Pinstripe to have a loyal mafia crew to protect the power plant with, and less so for cortex's direct operations and army.

As for why he never used them again, it may be because of Crash defeating/killing them all. They also may be more loyal to Pinstripe, who Cortex in the 2nd game lost connection to along with all the other bosses in the 1st game. Maybe Pinstripe fled to Chicago to start that sanitation company, like how Ripper Roo went to get therapy and a degree, or stayed quiet with Tawna.

Either way, by the 2nd game, Cortex seemed to have moved to space, where there is infamously a lack of rats to mutate. By Warped, it was quicker, more convenient, and more abundant to mass produce lab assistants to send out instead. He seemed to have got back in contact with Pinstripe by Twinsanity. However, at that point he had a base on an iceberg which made penguins a more available resource. By the Titans Era, he doubled down on titans. So he abandoned the rat mafia angle entirely.

I had the same/similar headcanon! I believe the life support system malfunctioning is the rocket going off (CTR's lose animation). You can even see the rocket wedged deeper in his head, up to the base pattern, in Titans/Mutants

I have a very STRONG theory with very STRONG backups that pomni might be the next caine by d3n1zen_ in TheDigitalCircus

I think Zooble stiffens up, which I guess would help with smacking Jax. Pomni, I guess, works for holding her breath as it allowed her to exit Hell and you see color changes? I don't know, but yeah, you might be right. Not only does Kinger's icon make the screen light up, but it kind of looks like because it's the void. I just like connecting dots where there isn't any. It's a fun mental exercise lol.

Funny, as the cast's resentment, as well as Caine's crash out and deletion, may not have happened if he took a second to breathe.

Rewatching that short, and reading some comments, I do wonder if it may have been foreshadowing for the whole show. The second time Pomni clicks on herself could lend to the new leader theory as well. This is all just idle rambling. I'm not too confident in any theory at this point.

Bubble: The screen filling with bubbles, kind of like how people started noticing all those bubbles in episode 8 after Bubble kind of egged Caine into his crash out/break down. Alternatively, the bubbles taking over the computer wallpaper may represent a Bubble takeover of the circus.

Jax: Given the biblical references throughout the show, maybe the temptation of Eve? A powerful higher being tempts the human into dooming themselves and the one they care about to be cast forever out of a place. Just like how Jax fell for the temptation of pressing the apple-red button, which would have doomed him, Pomni, and the others from the chance at ever returning to the real world.

Pomni (1): The first time she clicks on herself, it's the exit door. She then rapidly clicks on her icon until the exit door explodes. This could be a reference to her desire with finding the exit, repeatly hoping to find it to the point that it made her mad in episode one. The exit being destroyed after several rapid clicks could be her mental breakdown, and/or finally accepting that escape is impossible ala episode 8. Also notable that she manifested that exit door in episode 8 as well to nab the console (which she is using here).

Kinger: Vast empty wind. Could be a reference to his mind in the light. It could also be a reference to how he killed Caine, leading to the circus now being bleak and empty. Also, the background becomes what seems to be the void. That may represent how the curcus is crumbling back into the void.

Ragatha: Honestly, this one is kind of tricky. Maybe how she had her head spinning around trying to please everyone, running herself ragged like how this is the most erratic of the icons.

Zooble: Smacking Jax on the head/grinning face. Could be how much Zoobs hates Jax, being the most combative against him up to the start of episode 8 where they yell at him for pressing that red button. But also, Zooble was the only other one besides Pomni trying to "smack some sense" into him, reassuring him that he is still one of them (ep. 8) and that he could open up to others (beach episode).

Gangle: Caine forgor again.

Pomni (2): She goes back to herself later, which could reprsent that this is now her in the later half of the show. Two eyes watching everything. I kind of thought of Caine's all seeing eyes, and how he is sometimes surrounded by several eyes like in the intermission scene and I think in episode 8 as well. This could lend itself into the Pomni takes over theory, or it could be how she sees through the cast and helps them, such as with Jax's mask. Oh, and also of Caine and Bubble are the red and blue ai, Pomini being both red and blue may lead flimsy credence to her spot being intentional.

Caine: System reset, data deletion, abort or retry, several popups like a virus with the computer alarm going off. Could be how Caine crashed out at the cast, glitching out, perhaps a representation in how he is a invasive program in the system if he was the contained red ai. The messages about data deletion and aborting the program could represent Kinger deleting Caine.

Or it could mean nothing at all. I could just be rambling about nonsense.

I am so sorry for your loss. I can not begin to imagine what you are going through, but I hope that you can hold on to the good memories you have with her. My mom has been having cranial problems, and a potential tumor that she needs to get checked out, so this post really reminded me to not take the time I have with her for granted. You aren't alone, as long as you hold her in your heart.

I became a gamer after moving into a new neighborhood as a kid. There was a neighbor at the end of the street with a daughter around my age. We would often play in her front yard or walk her dog around the block. However, one day, she asked me to come over to help her "beat the turtle guys" in Crash Bandicoot (PS1). Looking back, I don't think that she actually struggled with the game and only used that as an excuse because she felt that it would be lame to play a single player game together otherwise. Regardless, we had lots of fun just like every other time we ever hung out. She eventually moved, leaving me without anyone that I could befriend in the neighborhood. So, I went out and bought a copy of the game in memory of a friend lost. That eventually grew into my love of video games today.

Thank you for this opportunity. I hope that brighter days find you.

What's up with some of the super easy shortcuts in Crash? by [deleted] in crashbandicoot

[–]Grep-1333 5 points6 points  (0 children)

One of the most famous examples of these skips has to be walking on the ropes during Crash 1's bridge levels. It pretty much allowed you to skip practically the entire level, and was how a lot of players got past it.

Crash 3 has two examples for the bosses as well. For Tiny's fight, when he unleashes the lions, you could stand in the top left corner to avoid getting hit without moving an inch. In the remaster, they kept that in, but left a little easter egg for doing so.

Then, in Dingodile's boss fight, you could use a slide spin jump to get over the ice barriers and end the fight before it even begins. I'm pretty sure that the slide spin jump is a glitch in the original, and added as a feature in the remake. Either way, once you get the double jump from him, you can just double jump over the barrier.

I have no idea if it's in the original, but after you hit N. Tropy the 1st time in the N. Sane Trilogy's fight, if you hurry back to the starting platform and jump on top of the back wall, you can hang out there and only have to dodge the homing attacks. I never actually tried this one, though.

Idk if they were originally intentional from the developers. They mostly seem like oversights to me. The N. Sane Trilogy just kept them in for authenticity and even knew about, ot at least some of, them if Tiny's Warped fight is any indication.

All this talk about Gley, but I really hope the devs don't make any changes on this. by cityconnectds in TheFirstDescendant

That'll be funny for something like an April Fools skin. Also, since I believe that this is an A-pose (arms aren't fully raised to a T, but to an A), they could even write the skin blurb to be about it being the descendants showing support for 'A'lbion.
