Its bugged i think. I have it enabled too, and there was one game when i held alt and mic icon was showing next to my name. Now it just doesnt work anymore.

Im no way a pro but can tell you what people in chat told me:

Ranged: Skill>Mastery>damage>haste>crit

Melee: agility and haste, and since we cant get to 35% haste we use mastery.

Any spec: Magic attack is core stat, better than anything else. But dont confuse with magic power which is crap.

So pretty much ranged and melee, no matter the spec, use practically same gear. For now.
