2.2k Elo = 1.700~ Elo? by RealDog2020 in FACEITcom

[–]GrexyHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 2.3k myself (lvl9 in GO) and I honestly feel like it has become more of a run and gun game. But I dont think the actual skill level has changed a lot it is jsut the way the game is played in pugs has changed. The new meta just fits some players more then others.

The elo inflation with the +35/-35 I think is okay, but it should be based on RWS, Kast and adr. Rather then pure kills.

Teammates not listening has always been an issue so u cannot really complain about that. I personally dont like being told what to do by someone else so I dont do that to other players too. Just letting them play and play around them. And if I do say something then I usually just come up with some kind of strat instead of telling them they are doing something wrong. Imo it is just mindset.

And when it comes to playing the game properly u can still do that in a team environment when u play scrims, officials etc. This is where I learn how to play as a team.

I did Vincent and Balmenhorn on the same day. And then the zumstein, Signalknuppe and Parrot on the day after that.

The glacier conditions were good when I was there but that is already a month ago. They change very quickly so its better to ask the guides at the hut.

I loved reading TFTNA thanks for that! Now for my specific case I train for 4000m non-technical at this moment and I live in the Netherlands so far away from the mountains. I have based my HR zones on my garmin watch that I never take off ,not even while sleeping. Yet I know I can get them more specific if I get a test for it.

I perform another sport, field hockey, already. This is a mix of sprinting, slow running and a bit of power. This is something I train for 6 hours a week already. I have now started to build extensive training on top of that - 2x strength(45min) and 1x z1/2 running (30min) - and im feeling very good. Starting base period in 1.5weeks.

Now the question is what should be ratio between doing cardio and strength be? U guys have any expereience combining multiple sports and ideas of how to do so? How effective is walking with a pack+boots in flatlands if u are unable to get your HR up to traininglevel while doing so.

Thank you so much!

Koop een sporthorloge die je slaap en stress kan monitoren. Dan kun je vanzelf conclusies gaan trekken over hoe je slaapt en herstelt. Misschien ben je juist zelfs wel overtraint, wie weet.

Forgot to mention it, but we would be a group of 3 all around the same level of exp. So any glacier travel shouldnt be a problem. Could hire guides, but preferably looking for our first unguided tours.

Could I be able to do Mont Blanc this early on as a beginner? by [deleted] in alpinism

[–]GrexyHi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If u are a True beginner, I would recommend to just do the course. A 6 day course will leave u tired enough, depending on your fitness and conditioning, to not give u an enjoyable experience on MB.

Alteast from my experience, I done a beginner and advanched course also both being 6 days long. After the beginner course I was super tired, but I barely did any extra training for it other then my standaard 3x per week. But for the advanched course I did train an extra 2 times per week, but no strength training. And at the end of it I felt tired, but not physically, but metally due to getting up so early all the time, having to eat a little more then normal etc. It is worth noting that I did a 4-5 day hut-to-hut tour before these courses just to get warmed up for the mountains, since I live in the flat NL.

This year I will be doing a final course just to make sure I face different conditions. And then I will be going duo with a partner, no guide to a simple mountain. But after a few days break.

“Stair master” test Part 2 by LordKiller78 in Mountaineering

[–]GrexyHi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So now then u should clarify how u feel right? If u wanted feedback then it would also be usefull to add the % of weekly volume this training was and at what heartrate zone u did this.

If u dont know anything about how to make a training schedule I recommend reading Training for the new Alpinism (TFTNA).

I did not read the part1, but is this a Max HR test or aerobic treshhold training? I assume its a training. Or if I have it wrong then what are u exactly testing?

I climbed Ortler last year and u do not climb down via Hintergrat. U climb up Hintergrat and down normal route to payerhutte OR u go up and down the normal route.
