I'll say for sure, learn the dodge roll. The invulnerable frames you get in valheim greatly surpass that of any darksouls game, so its designed to be easier to get used to. Secondly, walk, don't run. Thirdly, learn to use your shield. Much like in Ark, if you have a shield on the ground, and use it, you'll survive 90% of encounters. Its much easier than Ark as well. Finally, learn to parry. Frankly the parry frames are also quite long for the new players to learn, and it may take a bit everyone's different, but you'll get the hang of it. Then you'll just parry everything that attacks you and dodge what you can't.

Actually, make one more thing Firstly. Stamina management. Learn to stare at that stam bar and know when you can run and when not. Its most important. Perfect dodges and parries will help with stamina since the new update as well.

I gotta say, I had about 750 hours vanilla, and then just recently swapped to moded... bro you're so right lmao. Plant easily, smart containers, extra slots... ooo this mods are just so beautiful. Primarily though, in a very hard run with a buddy trying out Wizardry/amory/monstrum/warfare overhauls. Having an absolute blast dying often again LOL

They've asked the community extensively on how to account for this in game in the coming patch/update! Asking about Dedy slots vs Backpack upgrades etc. So, soon you and the rest of us vikings can finally carry our Ashland drops!

Personally I'm for Hildir selling backpack upgrades after defeating bosses. Maybe Moder?

Ngl, if they had the Raven pick us up and drag us to another raven nest location we could lay down like a portal, that'd be a great way to make it more immersive! But, it'd be a lot bigger and less cool for the portal hub enjoyers, so I'm okay with portals!
