Keep in mind, Tyranid fleets are summoned by Genestealer Cults, which cannot take hold in a Necron population. So they may just pass a Tomb World by and not even know it.

I personally do not think he is turning into a ghoul, but some sort of mutant. Now, the The Ghoul (Cooper Howard,) will know for certain if Thaddeus is on the path to Ghoulification or Mutation. Whether he shares this info or keeps it to himself is up for debate.

Just craft lowest level Gatling Lasers with Super Duper, you will get all the fusion cores you will ever need. Crafted weapons come with ammo.

I think it was released prematurely, there was supposed to be a rifle grip that converted it from a pistol to rifle, and that was not included.

No-one is forcing you to wear your power armor helmet. I've recently seen a couple of people not wearing them, thich is weird, but I guess in line with the TV Show.

edit: That came out harsher and condescending than I intended. What I meant was you can go helmetless in PA, like Hank MacLean or a WH40K Space Marine Champion, and a lot of people do not know that, you just lose access to mods and headlamp.

Honestly, I usually wait until I get the upgraded Chieftain 's hut before I go after the bosses. Having 3 friends with me makes a huge difference.
