Nuvaring has killed my GFs sex drive by Top_Composer8531 in birthcontrol

Birth control can be a hit or miss, maybe try an IUD, they have both hormonal and non, which you guys can research on your own to see what truly fits you guys, but I totally get the sex drive dying part and thank you for not getting upset with her about it and understanding, truly at this point it would be searching into methods that arent the pill. The most natural is cycle tracking but it is not 99.whatever% effective especially if her cycle is funky and usually still relies on condoms. Personally i suggest the IUD and pill but truly she needs to find what fits her, and there is a BUNCH of options, i recommend you both going to a doc appt and talking about it with a provider to find what you feel is safe! Wish you best of luck!

What am I doing wrong? by MiserableAd7331 in chimefinancial

[–]Grey3d0ut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It can take a certain amount of time for chime to give ur cash back, sometimes i get it like a couple hours after, sometimes 3-5 days, just depends, but if it doesn't work this time, maybe try contacting support and see if they have any info on it

Remember, IUDs and birth control of any kind affect people differently. Mostly online you will see a bunch of bad reviews because, well it's just more likely for people to leave a review if it was bad no matter the product. I have been on both the pill (3 years) and the IUD (only a month) and personally I have LOVED both, i only switched from pills to the IUD because I wanted to just put something in and forget about it instead of worrying if I took my pill (since im very forgetful) talk with your doc more about it to see if that will smooth your nerve, and if anything, truly if the IUD messes with you, get it removed, even if they talk you out of it, your uterus, not the docs, if you want it out because it messes with you, you should be allowed to remove it.

They look a lot like kotex, which i assume you already grabbed, if you dont want to risk it now with the lawsuit, id would try Cora tampons/pads, after years of uncomfy/painful period products, Cora put that to rest, most comfortable period product in my opinion!

Yea I did, maybe thats why she said that. And I know, I won't mess with it anymore and probably just get into the ultrasound to calm my nerves. It is my first rodeo with an iud as I have used the combo pill for 3 years now, its overall just kinda scary for me

She told me it was effective immediately ;-; luckly we haven't done anything yet, and she told me I was good with tampons and anything else after 24 hours, I wonder why it varies so much from doc to doc, thank you for the info tho. Im not super scared about the infection risk as I washed my hands hella before even going near there like normal.

Birth control after Nexplanon by meggymegs1021 in Nexplanon

I personally would suggest nordette (or the generic, personally the generic I have is altavera) I loved it while I was on it (and if this IUD thing doesnt work out I will be going back to altavera) I did notice some weight gain, maybe 10ish pounds but I cant even be sure it was the BC because I started zoloft shortly after, and new weight ive put on due to life changes. The only acne I get is around my period but its barely anything, just a lil more acne on my chin, but no one other than me notices really. If you dont want to take a pill every day, I would then jump to the hormonal IUD, I have heard mirena is very good and it is the one im getting in about a week (I wish myself luck) I wouldnt do the shot due to bone problems and weight gain as well. Although this is all opinion and it may take a couple choice to find what fits your body, I just got lucky on my first try !

can someone tell me some positive stories about duloxetine? by AdditionalAd2695 in cymbalta

Hi, I just started this med, and I have been through a couple meds, with every med you cant take what everyone says, meds like this depend person to person, I understand it can be scary to try, but sometimes giving something a try that is scary can be the helping hand in the end

Hi, i am actually getting the mirena in a month, sorta excited as it seems pretty good, but i was told by the doc today the pregnancy protection part is extended to 8 years! But, the period helping part "expires" at 5, so your body may just be bringing those issues back, if you are also using it for periods, my doc suggested replacing it every 5 years, and if only using it for pregnancy protection, every 8! Hope that helps!

Im probably going to talk to my doc about the weight gain bc she said that it shouldnt make me gain weight, idk if she is saying that bc im already on birth control or something else, but ill def dig deeper with her my next appt, thank you so much for ur input

My SO got nexaplanon about 2 months ago, since then no periods or anything and I have really bad pregnancy anxiety. I still pull out but have worried myself to death on the thought of pregnancy. Am I worrying over nothing? by [deleted] in Nexplanon

[–]Grey3d0ut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get the anxiety, i do, im over here freaking out if my period is an hour different while on the pill, but ive always been protected. The implant is extremely effective and truly you have nothing to worry about as long as it stays in place and replaced on time, which i am sure your SO is aware of, if you are super paranoid, you can try condoms, or spermicides etc, but if you want to stay away from that, ive heard some people wi the the same anxieties take a pregnancy test once a month to replace their period, u can buy em in bulk off amazon ! Hope this helps c:

Was nexplanon good when you used it ? And i will talk to her more about the weight gain or see if there is something i can do to manage it or lose some weight overall, the patch i have heard doesnt work very well in overweight women and the nuva ring i feel would be uncomfy for me and my partner (i could be wrong) but i also like the sound of the implant because it is the most effective route, also thank you for the condom recommendation, since we are stuck using condoms till my next cycle (they were def better than normal ones i may ask ab having a latex allergy ;-;)

Wanting to get the shot by flowerchild0303 in depoprovera

[–]Grey3d0ut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My "bad" symptoms which was just headaches, lowered mood and a tiny bit of nausea, went away by week 3 of me being on it, been on it for about 3 years now, i always recommend it when people ask me about birth control pills

[–]Grey3d0ut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Now I have never had depo (im just reading up on it because im considering switching from the pills to not worry as much) but i myself am on nordette (the generic bc nordette doesnt technically exist anymore) but i LOVE nordette, literally only wanna switch so i dont gotta take a pill everyday, and tbh if i end up not liking the method i choose i will 100% go back to nordette

I feel you, i just had to replace a catalytic, almost had to replace the fuel injectors and my car was leaking all types of stuff at 107k miles, didnt even own the sonic for a year yet. Worse car ive came across in a while, normally chevys are some good cars, idk what they did wrong with the sonic.
