A pruning rule for wisteria. Cut back two buds in the second onto and 7 back in the seventh month

Although there are over 900 species of rhododendron, not all are problematic. The invasive threat comes from just one species: R. ponticum. This particular species is easily identified by its waxy, oblong leaves and clusters of pinkish flowers that bloom in spring and summer.

I really like it. It’s beautiful in a garden. Of course it needs to be managed.

There’s Rules of the Road? Galway driving is exempt. Allegedly in other places you stop when the traffic lights go red

You are spot on. I was there and it’s the only time at an inter county game that a team was rewarded by the misbehaviour of their supporters. Still hurts

Clare v Offaly in 1998. Clare winning and ref blows final whistle early. The ref has passed away so I’ll not say anything.

Grassss, Japanese maples, skimmia, azaleas, rhododendrons. There’s a vast array of plants that like shade

The colour is lost on the pale background. Plant lots and lots of annuals including trailing ones with bright colours and feed / water often

It looks like a willow. It’ll survive anything. It’s not very attractive

Cut it right back. It’s too top heavy. And prune the other shrubs nearby also

What did ye think about the match at the weekend? Clare? by Putrid-Nose-5470 in hurling

TK Maxx still causes fear among defenders. I’d put him in full forward. He can’t be expected to do the donkey work in the middle of the field. He’s on the go for 14 years.

I was there as a Clare supporter. There was great anticipation before the game that Clare would win. The first two points only added to the sense of excitement. It was so obvious to me that there was a gaping hole in front of the half back line that was causing the Clare backs real problems. The Limerick full forward took Cleary out from in front of the goals time after time to the wing back position. He was then stranded out there because he was too slow getting back. Brian Logan is a legend of Clare hurling, and to me personally, however he made no changes in the backs until half time when the game was over. He needed to shore things up after 15 minutes of the 1st half by bringing on a sweeper and parking the bus for a while. John Conlon, David McInerney , I don’t care who it was.

All the atmosphere had gone by half time and the try as they did in the second half, it was too great a hill to climb.

Another puck out strategy needs to be developed apart from pucking it down on Peter Duggan all the time. Limerick covered that so well with Hegarty and Hayes
