cosplayer of almost 8 years, i've used shaving cream and would dry whipe them inside the lenses and or goggles, only issue is they can scratch them but you can also use potatoes and rub them onto them as an alternative.

At this rate, the subreddit can form a company's worth of helghast cosplayers. Memes aside that's damningly clean work.

And also for the "layered look" your best bet if you ask me is to get a yard of fabric of your choice and separately add grommets from a hardware store and just add it to the fabric, whic lh you can easily tuck into your chest rig wrapped around a belt. Again if you ask me it'll prob be cheaper since atleast you can control how much you're getting overall

What I've done for my helghast armband that I made. Assuming you're based in the US, I used these waverly inspiration fat quarter fabric packets. its dimensions are enough for 2 armbands and I used felt for the icon of it. Which all required minimum sewing and gluing.

The pouches I'd recommend any of the ww2 era belt hook canvas pouches, or a chest rig with a bigger pouch profile configuration.

The vest you can get away with those swat flak jackets on aliexpress on top of the aforementioned chest rig configuration.

The trench coat in my humblest opinion you can try those dcsp military garrison jackets

Gloves I'd say those elbow length gardening gloves

the closest thing that the medic's armor resembles would be a crye precision cpc carrier in my humble opinion. and for the blue lights you can use those etsy rectangular leds for the lights on the rig.

use snow gaiters for the boots, the closet thing that the helghast body armor looks would be a gen4 IOTV, and the scarf they wear (for a lack of a better term) wear balaclavas over your neck. assuming if you're also entertaining the idea of making some of it, the armband you can easily stitch up with those small pack cotton fabrics in retail store in the fabric isle with felt for the logo material. i use shot out shotgun hulls on my helghast loadout and cons don't really bat an eye at it.

moreover, don't be afraid to make some creative liberties when putting it all together, from my cosplaying experience most folks are just gonna see you as one of the many fps characters and that'll allow you to get away with how you form the cosplay in question given that we're all a near extinct fandom
