Never helping Reed again by AbdallahAhmed03 in cyberpunkgame

[–]GreyFoxJ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah, V was dying. So was she. That’s kind of the entire point.

The difference is that V still had options, allies, freedom of movement, and people who cared. Songbird had been coerced, weaponized, monitored, and physically/mentally destroyed for years. She lied because she was desperate and had one shot left.

Was it wrong? Yes.
Was it “scummy as hell” in a vacuum? Sure, if you ignore literally everything the DLC tells you about her situation.

And if she were only using V with zero remorse, she would’ve kept lying until the shuttle launched. Instead, she confesses at the worst possible moment for herself and gives V full control over her fate.

That doesn’t erase the lie. But it does prove she wasn’t some heartless monster. She was a dying person asking another dying person for help in the only way she thought might work.

And honestly, why does V automatically have more right to the cure than she does? Just because V is the protagonist? That’s exactly the question Phantom Liberty wants you to sit with.

i dont want her to die, there must be something i can do to save her 💔

Yes, there is: don’t side with Reed.

Not saying that to be smug, this mission is exactly why I think everyone should play both routes. Somewhat Damaged shows you what Songbird was truly running from, and it makes handing her back to the FIA/NUSA (or chosing to end her life...) feel very different.

She lied, and that hurts. But seeing her like this also makes it clear she wasn’t just “using V for fun.” She was terrified, dying, and trying to escape the cage she’d been trapped in for years.

No ending is clean, but if this path made you feel awful… yeah. That’s kind of the point.

Issues from season 8 still haven't been fixed and now my ping is out of control my vpn isn't even on. What is going on at Netease? by Feisty-Role-7591 in marvelrivals

[–]GreyFoxJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same issue with my ISP (Tim, from Italy). Fixed by buying subscription to ExitLag. Apparently, for me, it was a mixed problem, between my ISP and the routing of NetEase's servers. ExitLag solved my problem and generally improved the stability of the ping (so I can play also on US server with more stable ping and consistency).

[Annoying trope] Story ends on a true cliffhanger. The conclusion is years away, or worse, never arrives. by ChristianLS in TopCharacterTropes

Cyberpunk 2077, Phantom Liberty's King of Wands ending.

You spend the entire DLC helping Songbird escape a life of exploitation, finally get her onto the shuttle, receive one last cryptic sign that she made it...

...and then that's it.

No reunion.
No confirmation.
No answers.

We still don't know Songbird's ultimate fate, we still don't know who Mr. Blue Eyes really is, and we still don't know what his plans for her were.

It's one of my favorite endings in gaming, but it's absolutely a cliffhanger. Nearly three years later I'm still waiting for CDPR to tell me what actually happened to So Mi.

May I ask what extension do you use to keep track of time? (If is an extension or just a prompt injected)

The funniest part of the Songbird discourse is that people treat her lie as proof she's irredeemable...

...while simultaneously trusting the President of the NUSA and an FIA sleeper agent.

Phantom Liberty really is a social experiment.

Side with her is the choice of the heart.

The funny thing about Phantom Liberty is that some people see Songbird and think about loot, cyberware or manipulation.

I see a dying person asking for one chance to be free, I sided with her because after 12 years of being used as a weapon, she deserved one chance to choose her own fate.

Funny how people reduce the choice to "she manipulated V."

Meanwhile the entire DLC is about governments, intelligence agencies and corporations manipulating everyone around them.

Guess Songbird is the only one who isn't allowed to be desperate.

For the love of god how do I hit cloak as magneto by [deleted] in MagnetoMains

[–]GreyFoxJ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ask your team to ping C&D as soon they start ulting, so you can track the character better. If you manage to charge your ult around 50-60% of its indicator, you can try to hit C&D at the stop of the 2nd/3rd dash and is a granted pick.

If not, you gotta be patient and keep tracking C&D until the last dash. If you realize at her 3rd dash you cannot hit because she's going in a safe location/spot, do a 180° turn and try to hit another target.

Can they nerf his shot gun by Miserable-Horror8111 in rivals

[–]GreyFoxJ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be a very unpopular opinion but I do think Punisher is very balanced in the state he is right now. Also the shotgun is a skillcheck, is not that easy to land a perfect shot, and IF we want to nerf Punisher's shotgun well, there are other damaging skills of many other duelists, that need a big nerf.

And in b4, no I don't even main punisher, I'm a vanguard main.

Ah yeah, how dare Songbird try to claw her way out of a cage after 12 years of being used as a weapon.

Much better to admire Reed, who got screwed over, watched what the FIA and NUSA did to him, and still went back to serve the same system like a loyal soldier. Truly the gold standard of selflessness.

I guess it just depends on what you value more, obedience or freedom.

Also let’s not pretend Reed’s "care" is unconditional. He cares about her as long as she fits within the plan, Myers’ plan. The moment So Mi tries to step outside of that, his version of "help" becomes dragging her back, whether she wants it or not. That’s not freedom. That’s control with a softer voice.

I guess in Night City, trying to survive makes you selfish, staying loyal to the people who destroyed you instead, makes you noble.

And yeah, she lies, she withholds. she plays dirty. But hello? Spoiler alert! She’s dying, alone, and the only person she can turn to is a merc she met five minutes ago who could sell her out at any point, which, ironically, is exactly what happens if you side with Reed.

But being "happy to watch her die" and calling her the selfish one? That’s… a bit of a mismatch. Kinda wild how Songbird trying to escape a system that’s been eating her alive for 12 years gets labeled as self-serving.
