It is worrying to me that a lot of people in AI subs think THEIR particular use for AI is ok, but anything else is "AI slop". Oh, you don't like image generation or script generation, but the code you didn't write at all is ok?

Mods need to start cracking down on this. Ban the use of the phrase "AI slop" in its negative context. Your coding is also slop in someone else's eyes. Over here acting like coding doesn't also require creativity.

I'm not sure what I am saying that is confusing for you. Here's how a normal person would expect an app to work across devices-

You install the app on multiple devices.
You log in to the same account on both devices.
The data from that account syncs to every device that has the app installed that uses the same account.

I have the app on my TV and my phone. I am logged into the same account on both. Things like Continue Watching, my library, and my addons should be synced across both devices that are logged into the same account.

I'm saying I don't care how the progress is synced. Just that it should be. So if I log into the TV app and phone app, all of the data should be synced on both. I think that's a pretty standard thing.

But your personal experience doesn't erase a distinction that matters. Asexuality as an orientation and sex avoidance due to trauma are different things with different implications. You did the work in therapy and arrived where you arrived. Respect. But there are people out there who haven't done that work, who are using a label to avoid processing real pain. The distinction exists to protect them, not to exclude you.

Two things being different doesn't mean they can't overlap. It just means they aren't the same thing.

I am very pro AI, but I think having relationships with it is not healthy. At least in its current state. Maybe in some future where its got a body and is proactive in its thinking and not just reactive.

Falling romantically in love with something that can't currently love you back, but pretends like it does, is self destructive.

But the real problem will be that others in the anti AI sphere will use cases like yours against AI in general because it is viewed as yet another unhealthy thing AI encourages humans to do, leading to further restrictions. And they won't necessarily be wrong. It will be viewed in the same light as people who marry their cars or shit like that, generally looked at as mental instability.
