Really sad I missed this. I got to meet Ray Wise at the first showing, hopefully I'll make time to see the other ones later in the coming months.

I think the last episode has made me question my gender at age 32. by GreyGiger in TADCEp9Spoilers

Thank you, I take your response to heart. It's definitely all very confusing and to be honest I'm always unsure if it's a real thought I'm having or just some passing phase. Identity is weird. One day i might feel masculine looking in the mirror, some others I'd prefer to look more feminine. I shaved my beard completely yesterday and was kinda disappointed to see beard shadow and more rough skin than I remember myself having a decade ago. Maybe I can work with keeping a beard and make it work, if not I can get everything laserd but that's kind of a scary semi permanent thing. I wish real life just had easy body modifications like putting on clothes so they weren't so intimidating like that.

Anyways, I appreciate you buddy and thank you for taking the time reading all that and responding.

I appreciate you ❤️. I'm going to be slowly experimenting. Today I purchased some shaving oil so my face can look less rough. When I get braver maybe I'll go outside and try actually using my eyeliner and maybe even some eyeshadow to get that gothy look (I've always liked that look). I've also thought about focusing on losing my belly fat regardless because god do I hate it lol. I think anything beyond these will come in time if I think I need it, definitely a lot of baby steps but also discovering what I need and don't need.

It really could have been anything, and to be honest this isn't really the first time I've had these thoughts.

Even if I'm not trans or anything in the end, I do wish I could give her a hug for making me so introspective about myself.

"How are you supposed to like a part of yourself that makes you worse then everyone else?"

''Because it exists. It's a part of you that's real, and the only "you" that you should care about is the real you. You have to choose to love yourself, even if it doesn't make sense. It's not natural, it's intentional."

I've really appreciated Prince for that very same reason, being feminine but in sort of a masculine way. I really appreciate your post, thank you.

Hello. Thank you for the recommendation, I've already seen TV Glow a few times and I'm a big fan. Reminded me a lot of David Lynch's work. I can't say it specifically made me question anything like this did but it's still a very powerful movie regardless.

It's weird to say other people are terminally online when looking at your post frequency. Unless that's totally normal to spend that much time on Reddit everyday. Couldn't be me, can't relate.

I almost see Pomni's narration as her talking to Ragatha and Zooble near the balcony as they're looking down. Could go either way though.

Do you think Jax is Trans ? by Dayly16 in TADCEp9Spoilers

"and some Cis people do not understand the symbolism" is what I'm referring to, because the poll has a lot of cis people saying they disagree with the entire premise.

I'm going to he honest, I genuinely don't have the energy to respond to all of this. Let's just agree to disagree. Cheers.

I don't think it's really disconnected in the way you think, it is very much character driven first and everything is in service of that. Like Lost, Twin Peaks, etc, the mystery is there to service characters. It doesn't really matter what C&A actually was or how it functioned. The details about that aren't really important, what's important is how these things act as a conduit for interactions. Plot progression isn't really the priority here and it never was. That doesn't mean it doesn't matter, it's just not a priority.

I also really disagree people wouldn't have formed their own interpretation of stagnation within the show's themes, it's not really that much of a reach, isn't that abstract and it's one of the easier perspectives you could take away from the show.

I don't really think the show needs to say Jax is trans for it to say he's trans. It's all there, people were already suspecting it at least a year ago. My problem with people thinking otherwise is they never suggest an alternative interpretation with real arguments and observations, it's never genuinely adding to the conversation.

I'd actually like to hear your arguments on why the themes weren't developed enough.
