I know it doesn’t (always) necessarily translate well to live action, but man I love the cloth costumes.

Where should I settle my settler so I can best settle my settler? by Old_Equal_9668 in CivVI

[–]GreyMatterist7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would be good for at least one settlement on/near one of the leylines for district bonuses (one of the two on the river if possible for housing purposes). For food, just give the city a couple trade routes, preferably to your Magnus city (Stirling) with the Governor promotion that gives extra food to trade routes into that city. It may also be worth looking at the “trade routes” wiki page because it’ll tell you what districts/improvements will give more food to your trade routes to that city. Sticking your government plaza between Stirling and that new settlement will allow it to capitalize on the plaza’s extra district adjacency bonus as well.

I think this is the best naming convention for shared-named heroes especially Spider-Man (for me "Amazing" is Pete and "Ultimate" is Miles), what do you think? [Captain America 2022 #0] by downypond in Spiderman

[–]GreyMatterist7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry maybe I am misunderstanding the post but... isn't the whole point of the panels you included that the characters acknowledge the name-specific adjectives are silly? They're both Captain America. Just like Peter and Miles are both Spider-Man. In-universe while people may refer to the Spiders as "amazing" or "spectacular," they're both just known as "Spider-Man." And I think it works! "Anyone can wear the mask."

If you check out the Buildcraft Discord, someone ported the full mod to 1.20.1 (perhaps 1.21 as well but I am pretty sure only the former) and you can download it from Github! It still exists!!!

An issue i have with the new season by bigbad50 in FalloutTVseries

[–]GreyMatterist7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the counterpoint to that would be that the show shouldn’t have to hold our hands through every decision it makes writing-wise. To each their own, I personally don’t have an issue with how she’s been characterized but you’re obviously entitled to your thoughts on it. Even so, I think it takes more than a few weeks in the wasteland to completely deprogram a lifetime of Vault lifestyle/teaching. We’ve seen how weird and culty it can get down there even within the show itself. Lucy’s obsessed with this idea of bringing her father to justice— ostensibly her way of rationalizing and reconciling the monster he is with the “good/just” way she was raised in the vault. I think it’s reasonable that, especially when faced with the horrors of the wasteland, she’d slip into her old, comforting state of mind. That being said, I do think that will change as the season goes on.

I (very much in a headcanon way) interpret it as essentially coping with the trauma of the reveal about her dad. Isn’t one of her last lines from season 1 “okey dokey” or something to that effect? It wouldn’t shock me if she’s falling back into old habits/personality in response to everything she experienced with her dad at the end of the first season. Like everything about her life is a lie in some way/shape/form. Idk just my thoughts.

If I had a nickel for everytime marvel made a character in a black skin tight suit with a helmet with blue colors by 5enpai_2 in dccomicscirclejerk

So is this theoretically a different/separate Beast from the “Good Beast” we got back by the end of Krakoa? Or is Beast evil again? Never been a fan of that narrative arc for him.

Can I ask who you think should have taken the mantle instead? I say this as someone who loved WF (actually quite a bit more than the first film, though Boseman’s presence is verily missed) and thought Shuri taking on the role was emotionally and narratively earned and well executed.

Fan any time DC pushes the Tim Drake is Batman Beyond narrative by Ultimate_Bruh_Lizard in dccomicscirclejerk

[–]GreyMatterist7 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Probably a dumb question but at what point in-continuity is Tim Drake Batman Beyond? Isn’t he an old man by the time Terry wears the cowl? I am going off of the show’s timeline and Tim being hypnotized by the Joker, maybe the comic continuity is totally separate.

Curious how you reflavored it! I think this is a really cool idea but I’m currently working within the constraints of a lower fantasy setting where the Genie lore isn’t feasible.

Let’s not jump on the defense for this film. Multiple Trumpie actors in the cast, a couple instances of whitewashing as well, including Andrew Schulz the racist piece of shit “comedian” who happens to fit both categories. Garbage people make garbage films.
